Arc Raiders Water Pump Farm Guide & Best Locations

In ARC Raiders, the Water Pump is primarily known as a quest item for the "Unexpected Initiative" mission given by Tian Wen, though it also appears as a rare industrial loot item for crafting.

Depending on why you need it, here is exactly where to find it:

1. The "Unexpected Initiative" Quest (Fixed Location)

If you are doing the quest for Tian Wen, you don't need to rely on luck. There is a guaranteed spawn in the Buried City.

Location: The Broken Rooftop Gardens near Piazza Roma.

How to get there: Head to the southwestern portion of Piazza Roma.

• Look for the two southern apartment buildings connected by scrap-metal bridges.
• Take the zipline or the stairs to reach the roof of the northernmost of these two buildings (it's just southwest of the actual "Piazza Roma" label on your map).

The Item: On the roof, look for rows of tubs filled with soil (hydroponic equipment). The Water Pump is sitting between these rows.

Important: You must interact with the object (the prompt will be yellow) and then physically loot the item off the ground. Don't forget to put it in your Safe Pocket if you're worried about extracting!

2. Best Locations: General Looting (Random Spawns)

If you need Water Pumps for recycling or other upgrades, they are classified as Rare Industrial/Mechanical loot.

Best Maps: Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport are your best bets as they have more industrial zones.

Specific Spots:

• Dam Battlegrounds: Power Generation Complex, Research & Administration (west tunnels), and the Hydroponic Dome.
• Spaceport: Shipping Warehouse and Container Storage.

Containers: Search Metal Crates, red lockers, and industrial shelves.
