A straightforward Cooking route in WoW Forever is starter meat to 50, Coyote Steak or Boiled Clams to 90, Dry Pork Ribs to 130, then Curiously Tasty Omelet to 150. Train Journeyman at 50 and learn Expert when convenient from 125 if you want to continue past 150. Cooking is secondary, so you can learn it alongside two primary professions.

The skill ranges show when to change recipes on this route. Check your skill after each small batch. You may need extra ingredients once a recipe stops giving a point on every craft.

Buy the recipes before you need them
- Use the ingredients you are already finding. Make boar or wolf recipes at a cooking fire. Keep leftovers for food and compare the full ingredient cost of Coyote Steak and Boiled Clams before choosing one.
- Learn Dry Pork Ribs on a trainer visit. The trainer can teach it at 80. Keep using your previous recipe until around 90 if it is still working well and your ingredients are cheaper.
- Buy the omelet recipe before reaching 130. Alliance players can check Kendor Kabonka in Old Town, Stormwind. Horde players can check Keena at Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands.
- Plan a separate stop for the Expert Cookbook. Alliance can check Shandrina at Silverwind Refuge in Ashenvale. Horde can check Wulan at Shadowprey Village in Desolace. Compare the auction price with a detour if neither vendor is on your route.
✓ Buy in small batches Check the meat or clam price and the vendor reagent cost together. Near the next milestone, buy only what you need to reach it.

Why is my Cooking stuck at 75?
Train Journeyman from a Cooking trainer. The rank can be learned from 50 skill and lets you continue past 75.
Do I need the Expert Cookbook to reach 150?
No. Journeyman takes you to 150. Read the book from skill 125 if you want to unlock the next cap before you reach it.
What if Raptor Eggs cost too much?
Compare a small batch with other learned recipes that still grant points. Buy when the price fits your budget rather than committing to a full stack.
