Blackfathom Deeps quest pickups by faction
Around level 25 is a reasonable starting point for a new group. Use this shortlist for the pickups that change your travel or dungeon route. Add class quests if your character’s log calls for them.

Plan three stops once you zone in
- Near Ghamoo-ra, check for the manuscript and Thaelrid. Alliance players with Knowledge in the Deeps can check the submerged chest north of the Ghamoo-ra area. Then check Thaelrid with anyone who needs the hand-in or follow-up.
- Agree on the Fathom Core before touching it. Horde players with Amongst the Ruins should let the group know before interacting. Be ready for Baron Aquanis and look for the Strange Water Globe afterward.
- Check the quest log before leaving. Confirm your boss and item objectives. If you’re a Warlock doing The Orb of Soran’ruk, remember this run only covers the Blackfathom Deeps part.
⚑ Skip an unnecessary city trip If the group is ready and you are already nearby, use the quest pickups that are along your route. Save the faraway pickup for another planned run.
