PoE 2 Desecrates a Rare Armour: Gnawed Rib, Preserved Rib, Ancient Rib
Posted: Sep 02, 2025
Desecrated armour is one of the more intriguing crafting options in Path of Exile 2. It allows rare armour pieces to gain unique “desecrated modifiers” that sometimes can't be obtained through normal crafting. To start, you'll need special currency items dropped from Abyss encounters: Gnawed Rib, Preserved Rib, and Ancient Rib.
List of PoE 2 Desecrates Currency: Ancient Bones
Posted: Sep 01, 2025
In Path of Exile 2, Desecrated modifiers play a special role in customizing your rare gear. To unlock these unique modifiers, players use Ancient Bones, a form of currency item tied to the Abyss system. These bones allow you to infuse rare items with desecrated affixes, opening the door to modifiers that might not normally appear. Ancient Bones are obtained primarily from Abyssal Troves, which spawn when you complete Abyss encounters, or inside the deeper layers of the Abyssal Depths. Keep in mind that when using these bones, if your rare item already has full affix slots, one of them will be randomly removed to make space for the desecrated modifier.
List of PoE 2 Desecrated Mods - Path of Exile 2
Posted: Sep 01, 2025
Desecrated modifiers can be applied to items using preserved bone currency. Bringing the item to the Well of Souls in Act 2 reveals the modifier, letting you choose one of three possible outcomes. While many options are standard modifiers, in endgame it's possible to encounter modifiers that normally cannot appear. Even before being revealed, a desecrated modifier occupies a prefix or suffix slot, and once revealed, it only rolls options of that type. Any item carrying a desecrated modifier displays a unique icon on its nameplate. Unrevealed modifiers appear as a line of green abyssal runes, while revealed exclusive modifiers show a faint green glow along the edges of the item's display.
PoE 2 Hollow Palm Technique Guide
Posted: Aug 28, 2025
Tired of farming for a good weapon drop early game? The Hollow Palm Technique lets you play melee without any weapon equipped — turning your bare fists into quarterstaves. It's fast, stylish, and surprisingly strong when built right. Here's how to use it step by step.
PoE 2 Guide: How to Use Hinekora's Lock
Posted: Aug 28, 2025
If you've ever bricked a near-perfect item in Path of Exile 2 because of bad RNG, you know the pain. That's where Hinekora's Lock comes in. This new currency lets you peek at what your next crafting attempt will do—before you actually commit. It's basically a safety net for your orbs. Here's how it really works, tested and confirmed from the latest Third Edict (Patch 0.3) notes and community runs.
PoE 2 Siphon Elements Guide – How to Use It Right
Posted: Aug 27, 2025
Sick of your Freeze, Shock, and Ignite just… existing? Siphon Elements turns those little elemental effects into something bigger: Infusion Remnants. These fragments boost your power and give you a reason to actually care when you slap a boss with a shock or ignite. Here's how to get started fast.
PoE 2 Ravenous Swarm Guide – How to Use It
Posted: Aug 27, 2025
Ravenous Swarm is a new Intelligence buff gem in Path of Exile 2. When you activate it, insects pour out of your body and chase enemies, applying Poison and chip damage nonstop. The best part? They're untargetable minions, so nothing can kill them. This guide walks you through exactly how to use Ravenous Swarm, what to pair it with, and how to build around it.
PoE 2 Mirage Archer Guide – How to Use It Like a Pro
Posted: Aug 26, 2025
If you've ever wished your bow build could attack while you dodge, Mirage Archer is your new best friend. This Dexterity Persistent Buff Gem lets you create a temporary clone every time you dodge roll. That clone fires your socketed ranged attack for a short time, then disappears. The catch? You can only have one Mirage at a time, and rolling too early resets the timer. In short: roll smart, shoot more, stay alive.
PoE 2 Mortar Cannon Persistent Buff Gem Guide
Posted: Aug 26, 2025
So you've seen the new Strength/Dexterity Persistent Buff Gem pop up in PoE 2 patch notes — Mortar Cannon. At first, I thought it was just another gimmick skill. But after testing it, I can tell you this gem actually changes how grenade builds play. If you've ever been frustrated by grenade cooldowns or clunky manual throws, Mortar Cannon fixes that by dropping a cannon totem that fires your grenades for you. Here's everything you need to know, broken down in simple, practical steps.
PoE 2 Iron Ward Guide – Turn Armor Into Damage
Posted: Aug 25, 2025
If you're like me and love stacking armor in Path of Exile 2, you know the usual problem: you survive everything, but fights drag on because your damage falls off. That's where Iron Ward comes in. This Strength buff gem literally turns your damage reduction into offense. Instead of just shrugging off hits, you store that prevention and explode it back as spikes. It's the perfect “I'm tanky but I also want things to die” skill.
