If you’ve been grinding Diamond Dynasty since launch, May 1 is the date you’ve been waiting for. SDS just dropped the roadmap for the start of the month, and it is absolutely packed. We’re moving past the "early game" phase and heading straight into the meat of the season.

MLB The Show 26: May 1 Schedule Update

The Headliner: New "Cityscapes" Card Series

The big news is the debut of a brand-new card series called Cityscapes. While we’re still waiting on the full attribute reveals, the buzz is that these cards will celebrate players who are synonymous with their home stadiums. Expect high-diamond cards with unique card art that’ll make your squad look as good as it plays. If you’ve been saving your stubs, this is likely where you’ll want to spend them.

A Fresh Program & Diamond Quest

We’re getting a New Program on May 1, which usually means a steady path of moments, missions, and exchanges to earn some free high-tier cards. Alongside that is a New Diamond Quest. For the uninitiated, these quests are usually a bit more of a "long-tail" grind, requiring specific stats with certain players, but the payoff is almost always a top-tier Diamond player that can slot right into your starting lineup.

Mini Seasons: Refresh and Reload

If you prefer playing against the CPU, Mini Seasons is getting a total refresh. New goals, new mystery missions, and most importantly, new rewards. This is consistently one of the best ways to farm packs and XP without the stress of Ranked Seasons, so it’s great to see a fresh set of incentives coming so early in the month.

New Event and Conquest Map

For the online grinders, a New Event kicks off on the 1st. These usually come with specific team-building restrictions, so don’t sell off those Silver and Gold cards just yet—you might need them to qualify.

And for the "map-movers," we’re getting a new Conquest board. Beyond just the player rewards, these maps are usually hidden treasure troves for "The Show" packs and stubs. It’s the perfect thing to chip away at while you’re listening to a podcast or watching a real-life MLB game.

The May 1 update introduces the "Cityscapes" card series, a new program, and a refreshed Mini Seasons mode to MLB The Show 26, demanding top-tier squads to compete. For those looking to secure these high-diamond players and skip the grind, Buying MLB The Show 26 Stubs at U4N offers a fast solution to enhance your team.

May 1 is shaping up to be a massive content drop. Between the Cityscapes series and the new Program, the meta is about to shift. Make sure you’ve finished up any April Monthly Awards or Topps Now moments before the clock strikes midnight, because the grind is about to get a whole lot busier.
