If you've been grinding in Diamond Dynasty since the game's release, today's the day your hard work finally pays off. The first major collection of the year is here, and the reward is exactly who we were all hoping for: Miguel Cabrera.

But this isn't just any Legend card. There are two versions of Miggy to collect, including a 99 OVR Milestone card that's going to be a real challenge for pitchers for a long time.

The Big Reward: Triple Crown Miggy

The collection is tiered, so you'll unlock the first version of Cabrera partway through the grind:

  • The Early Reward (95 OVR Awards Series): You'll need 12 Vouchers for this Marlins-era Miggy. He's a Left Fielder with great contact stats, perfect for anyone still building a strong team.
  • The Crown Jewel (99 OVR Milestone Series): This is the one to aim for. At 21 Vouchers, you unlock the 2012 Triple Crown version of Miggy. With 125 Clutch and maxed-out hitting stats, he's a "Red Diamond," meaning he's going to be a top-tier player well into the endgame, even in April.

How to Get Your Vouchers

If you're new to the collection screen, it can look a bit confusing. You don't just collect Miguel Cabrera directly—you need to collect other sets to earn Vouchers.

To reach the 21-voucher goal, you'll need to finish several sub-sets, including:

  • Series Sets: Rookie, Veteran, All-Star, and Breakout cards.
  • Program Sets: This is where "No Money Spent" players can shine. Complete the April Spotlight, Mexico City Series, and Topps Now programs. Each of these programs typically rewards you with a voucher when you collect enough specific players.

Pro Tips for the Grind

  • Don't skip the Mexico City Map: The new Conquest map that was released today gives you cards like Zac Gallen and Ramon Laureano. Not only are they great for your lineup, but they also count toward your collection progress for free.
  • Avoid the "Exchange" Trap: Be careful when exchanging Legends or Flashbacks in Team Affinity sets if you're close to unlocking Miggy. Always double-check your collection progress before getting rid of any cards.
  • Be smart with the Market: Prices for "cheap" Legends (like 80-84 OVR cards) often spike right after a collection drops. If you're missing a few cards, wait a couple of days for prices to calm down before buying.

As you work towards completing the Legends and Flashbacks Collection and unlocking the coveted Miguel Cabrera cards, don't forget to make the most of your resources. If you're looking for a cost-effective way to boost your progress in MLB The Show 26, U4N offers a great option. You can easily grab affordable MLB 26 Stubs from U4N, which will help you buy those missing cards or stock up on other essentials without breaking the bank.

Is it worth it?

Short answer: Yes.

Miggy's swing has always been one of the smoothest in the game. With the "Dead Red" and "Bad Ball Hitter" quirks on his 99 OVR version, he's going to turn almost any pitch near the zone into a home run. Plus, getting a 99 OVR third baseman this early in the year gives you a huge advantage in Ranked Seasons.

Now, back to the grind. See you on the Diamond!
