The Ascending the Mountain project in ARC Raiders is a fairly straightforward collection challenge, but knowing where to search can save you a lot of time. If you are currently gathering ARC Raiders Items for this project, there are 16 different items to collect across four pages. The rewards are not the most exciting in the game, but you can get a Tempest, Rascal, Brleta 4, a Power Descender, and a hot air balloon backpack charm, among other rewards. Since most of the requirements are easy to complete, the project is more about efficient looting than difficult combat.
The first page asks for 10 Mechanical Components, six Pop Triggers, 10 Explosive Compounds, and two Headphones. Of these, the Headphones can be the most annoying to find. One easy option is to check the weekly trade and exchange ARC parts or weapons for one. For another, residential containers are your best bet. Blue suitcases, dressers, and cabinets can all contain Headphones. The cafeteria on Stella is one place where they can appear, while Grandiosa Apartments and Santa Maria houses are also worth checking.
How to Finish Page One Quickly
Mechanical Components should be much easier. If you are missing some, you can craft them at the refiner, while breaching containers such as car hoods can also provide them. Explosive Compounds can be found in industrial and security areas, or you can craft them using two Crude Explosives and two Oil. Oil can be purchased from Celeste, and synthesizing fuel can also give you another way to recycle resources into Oil.
The six Pop Triggers are probably the simplest requirement on this page. Just destroy six Pops while playing normally and collect what you need. With the Headphones handled, the rest of Page One should go quickly.
Page Two: Electrical Components and ARC Parts
Page Two requires 20 Wires, eight Voltage Converters, two Sentinel Firing Cores, and one Rocket Thruster. The Rocket Thruster may sound difficult, but the Primary Facility on Dam Battlegrounds is a particularly useful place to search. Green drawers inside shipping containers are worth checking, and similar containers can be found around the Stacking Yard on Riven Tide, Spaceport, the Loading Bay, and Stella.
For Sentinel Firing Cores, you can either search Couriers or destroy Sentinel Turrets. However, because the project creates extra competition for these resources, Couriers can be a more convenient option. During the Harvester event, Surveyor Vaults and Sentinel Firing Cores can also be easier to come across, making it a useful opportunity if the event is active.
Wires and Voltage Converters are much less troublesome. Focus on server cabinets and other electrical containers. On Buried City, Space Travel around Floor Six has several cabinets to breach both before and after the breachable door. These containers can provide Wires, electrical components, and Voltage Converters. If you are short on Wires, Celeste can also help.
Page Three Has the Toughest Item
Page Three asks for two Ruined Parachutes, 10 Crash Mats, five Shredder Gyros, and three Snow Globes. For many players, the Snow Globes will be the biggest headache.
Grandiosa Apartments on Buried City is a strong place to search for them, especially when you can reach the residential areas early. The Arbuso Tower is another location worth checking, particularly its breachable rooms and drawers. Another useful spot is the small shop on the corner near the residential area. The important thing is to prioritize these locations when your spawn gives you a reasonable chance of reaching them before other players.
The Ruined Parachutes can also be found in the green drawers at the Primary Facility on Dam Battlegrounds. The same type of green shipping container drawers are useful for several other project requirements, so check them whenever you pass through the area.
Shredder Gyros are much easier. You can destroy Shredders as you loot, and Buried City is especially convenient because they are often found in exposed areas. Seeker Grenades can make destroying them quick and simple.
Crash Mats are also straightforward. You receive their blueprint as a reward from the previous page, and each one requires two Durable Cloth and two Electrical Components. If crafting materials are limited, head to Riven Tide, particularly the Stacking Yard, where Crash Mats can be found in containers.
Prepare Early for the Final Page
The final page requires 30 Sensors, three Broken Guidance Systems, 15 Advanced Electrical Components, and three Vaporizer Regulators. The best advice here is to start collecting these materials before you officially reach Page Four. Looking ahead can prevent the frustrating situation where you finish one page only to realize that you have already passed several of the items required for the next one.
Vaporizer Regulators can be obtained by destroying Vaporizers or searching Couriers. Broken Guidance Systems can appear in several useful locations. One was found outside the Red Tower, another was sitting on a cart near the lobby on Stella, and another appeared at the Primary Facility on Dam Battlegrounds. Rusted breachable containers and green shipping container drawers are both worth checking.
Sensors should naturally build up while you are searching for electrical materials. Pick them up whenever you see them, and remember that some unwanted items can be recycled into Sensors. Tagging Grenades and broken handheld radios are examples of items that can help. By combining normal looting with recycling, you should have enough Sensors before reaching the final page.
Advanced Electrical Components can be crafted in the refiner if you are still short. Wires and Electrical Components are the important materials to keep in your inventory, so collecting those throughout the earlier pages can make the final requirement much easier.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Ascending the Mountain is a fairly forgiving project once you know which containers and locations to prioritize. The biggest obstacle is likely to be the three Snow Globes, especially if other players reach the residential areas first. For everything else, try to collect materials while completing the earlier pages rather than waiting until each requirement becomes active. That approach should make the final stages much smoother and help you finish the project without wasting unnecessary raids searching for individual ARC Items for sale.
