Aion 2 Endgame Guide: How to Conquer the Level 45 Grind

So, you've hit level 45. Congratulations—you've officially finished the tutorial. In Aion 2, the level cap is just the starting line. The game shifts from mindlessly following yellow quest markers to a calculated grind for Gear Score (GS), specialized stats, and account-wide power.

If you want to stop feeling like a "glass cannon" and start carrying your weight in the Abyss, here is exactly how to navigate the endgame.

1. Core Endgame Activities

I. Conquest and Expedition Dungeons

These are your bread and butter for Gold Gear. Once you hit the 2400 GS wall, you can't rely on quest rewards anymore. You'll need to farm the Vakron Expedition and higher-tier Conquest maps.

  • The Goal: You are looking for gear with specific "Blue Stats" like Critical Hit or Accuracy.
  • Pro Tip: Don't just look at the color. A +10 Purple item with perfect sub-stats is often better than a base Gold item with useless stats like MP Regen.

II. The Abyss (High-Stakes PvP)

The Abyss is where the "real" Aion flavor kicks in. Your main goal here is collecting Feathers and feeding them to the Monolith.

  • The Payoff: This yields Asfell/Asphel Crystals. These aren't just for show; they provide a flat percentage boost to PvP Damage and PvP Defense.
  • Real-world Case: A player with 15% PvP Damage boost will almost always win a trade against a player with higher raw Attack but 0% PvP stats.

III. Transcendence: The Skill Power-Up

This is Aion 2's version of a "Mythic+" system. It's a timed, scaling challenge where efficiency is everything.

  • The Reward: Arcana Cards. These cards are the only way to level up your active skills beyond their base power.
  • The Numbers: An upgraded skill can deal 20–30% more damage or have a significantly reduced cooldown. If your GS is high but your Transcendence level is low, you'll feel "weak" in dungeons.

IV. World Exploration & Permanent Power

Don't ignore the map. Completing Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds isn't optional.

  • Empyrean Traces: These provide permanent stat boosts (Attack, HP, Defense) that apply to your entire account.
  • The Grind: There are over 140 collectible traces. Each one might only give +2 Attack, but when you have 100 of them, that's +200 flat Attack—more than a weapon upgrade.

2. Daily & Weekly To-Do List

I. The Daily Loop

If you only have 30 minutes, do these:

  1. Daily Dungeons: Clear the Diver Bio Research Base and Odelium Repository. This is your primary source for Enhancement Stones.
  2. Duty Quests: Complete your 5 daily [J] quests. These reward roughly 50,000 to 100,000 Kinah depending on your luck and rank, which you'll need for gear repairs and crafting.

II. The Weekly Grind

  • Conquest Expeditions: You usually get 7 entries per week. Do not let these cap out. These have the highest drop rate for tradeable Gold gear, which you can sell on the exchange for premium currency.
  • Odyle Management: Your "Odyle" (energy) is precious. Use it specifically for Transcendence runs or high-level Gathering to maximize the value of every point spent.

III. Gathering & Crafting

In Aion 2, the best PvE gear isn't dropped—it's crafted.

  • Target: Aim for Gathering Level 5. This allows you to collect "Rare Odelium," a core ingredient for Tier 3 PvE sets.
  • Math: Crafting a full set of "Dragon-Slayer" gear provides a 15% PvE Damage bonus, making world bosses much easier to farm.

3. Gearing Strategy: PvE vs. PvP

I. The PvE Crafting Path

For dungeon crawling, focus on Crafting. Crafted items have "Monster Damage" and "Boss Defense" stats that aren't found on standard PvP gear. If you try to tank a Level 50 World Boss in PvP gear, you will get crushed because you lack the specific PvE Tolerance stats.

II. The PvP Abyss Point (AP) Shop

Your PvP set comes from the Abyss Point Shop.

  • The Strategy: Farm AP by killing mobs and players in the Abyss.
  • Priority: Buy the Weapon first. The PvP Attack stat on an Abyss weapon is a "final multiplier," meaning it calculates after all your other buffs.

III. The Enchantment "Sweet Spot"

One of the biggest mistakes players make is swapping a +10 Rare (Blue) weapon for a +0 Unique (Purple) weapon immediately.

  • The Rule of Thumb: A +10 weapon usually grants +150 to +200 extra Attack. A base Unique weapon might only be 40 Attack higher than a base Rare.
  • The Advice: Only swap your gear when you have enough Enhancement Stones to get the new piece to at least +5 or +6. Otherwise, your total power will actually drop during the transition.

IV. Arcana Card Synergy

Don't just equip the highest rarity cards. Look for Set Bonuses. Equipping three cards from the same "Element" or "Family" can grant a 5% Crit Rate bonus, which is worth more than the raw stats of a single mismatched Gold card.
