In Path of Exile 3.28, Greater Spell Echo Support (primarily found on the Pledge of Hands unique staff) makes supported spells repeat twice after the initial cast, providing 35% more damage and 50% increased area of effect per repeat. It acts as a superior version of Spell Echo with no inherent cast speed modifier.
Key 3.28 Changes & Mechanics
- Availability: It is now an "Exceptional" rarity gem (similar to Empower or Enlighten) and can no longer be stacked with standard Spell Echo Support.
- Priority Rule: If both Spell Echo and Greater Spell Echo are socketed together, the Greater version takes priority, and the standard version is ignored.
- Pledge of Hands Rework: The unique staff now provides Level 1 Greater Spell Echo (down from Level 30), but it has been buffed with 50–100% increased maximum Mana.
