Greater Spell Echo Support is a PoE Exceptional Gem. Tag: Exceptional, Spell, AoE, Support. Level: (1—3). Cost & Reservation Multiplier: 160%. Requires Level (72—76), (114—120) Int. Supports spell skills, making them repeat when cast. Cannot support Vaal skills, totem skills, brand skills, channelling skills, triggered skills, instant skills, retaliation skills, blink skills, or skills with a reservation. Supported Skills Repeat an additional 2 times Supported Skills have (56—62)% more Cast Speed Supported Skills have (20—24)% increased Area of Effect per Repeat Supported Skills deal (10—14)% more Spell Damage per Repeat Additional Effects From Quality: Supported Skills deal (0—10)% increased Spell Damage This is a Support Gem. It does not grant a bonus to your character, but to skills in sockets connected to it. Place into an item socket connected to a socket containing the Skill Gem you wish to augment. Greater Spell Echo Support Gem

In Path of Exile 3.28, Greater Spell Echo Support (primarily found on the Pledge of Hands unique staff) makes supported spells repeat twice after the initial cast, providing 35% more damage and 50% increased area of effect per repeat. It acts as a superior version of Spell Echo with no inherent cast speed modifier.

Key 3.28 Changes & Mechanics

• Availability: It is now an "Exceptional" rarity gem (similar to Empower or Enlighten) and can no longer be stacked with standard Spell Echo Support.
• Priority Rule: If both Spell Echo and Greater Spell Echo are socketed together, the Greater version takes priority, and the standard version is ignored.
• Pledge of Hands Rework: The unique staff now provides Level 1 Greater Spell Echo (down from Level 30), but it has been buffed with 50–100% increased maximum Mana.

Over 40 New Exceptional Support Gems

Upon defeating the Endgame Incarnation bosses in Path of Exile: Mirage, powerful new Support Gems will begin dropping from specific Atlas Bosses. These new Support gems are categorised as Exceptional, being a significant expansion of that class of Support gem.

Exceptional Support Gems are more transformative, offering an additional way to customise your build in the late game and extending character customisation even further into a build’s life.
