The October 28 Cash Shop update in MapleStory Classic World brings a new Halloween Mystery Fashion Crate, refreshed mystery hair and face coupons, and several sales that are already underway. For players deciding how much NX to spend, the key details are the prices, expiration dates, and restrictions attached to each item. We recommend checking those terms before buying, especially if you are saving resources for equipment or tracking the value of MapleStory Classic World Mesos separately from cosmetic spending.
The biggest new addition is the Halloween Mystery Fashion Crate, available for a limited time alongside randomized appearance coupons. Some existing offers remain available, while others are scheduled to end, including the Founder's Mystery Fashion Crate, on October 28. Here is what our team considers most important in this week's update.
Halloween Mystery Fashion Crate: Price and Availability
The Halloween Mystery Fashion Crate is the main new cosmetic offer in the October 28 update. Each crate grants one random Equip item from a Halloween-themed selection. The listed outfits and accessories are dyeable, giving players some flexibility when matching their character's appearance.
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Sale begins | October 28, 8:00 AM UTC |
| Sale ends | November 4, 7:59 AM UTC |
| Price for one | 4,900 NX |
| Price for 11 | 49,000 NX |
| Duration | 7 days |
| Reward type | One random Equip item from the listed selection |
The 11-crate bundle costs less than buying 11 individually at the listed single-crate price. However, the bundle does not guarantee a specific outfit or weapon cover.
We suggest reviewing the available rewards and their published rates before purchasing multiple crates. You can also consult the Classic World Cash Shop and crate-rate reference for additional information about mystery rewards.
Weapon covers also have compatibility restrictions. For example, the Witch's Broomstick is limited to spear- and polearm-type weapons, while the Evil Skull and Cat Soul covers can be used with any weapon. Check the restriction attached to a specific cover rather than assuming every cosmetic works with every weapon.
Unwanted crate rewards can be traded or exchanged for Aurora Stamps, but the exchange must take place before the item is equipped. Once you equip a reward, do not assume it will remain eligible for the exchange system.
Mystery Hair and Face Coupons
The update also includes mystery coupons for players who want to change their character's look without buying a full outfit. These items select from the listed male or female style pools, so the result is random rather than a direct purchase of one named style.
| Item | Price | Duration | Sale ends |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mystery Hair Coupon | 5,500 NX | 14 days | November 11, 7:59 AM UTC |
| Mystery Face Coupon | 3,500 NX | 14 days | November 11, 7:59 AM UTC |
The available pools include several hair and face styles. Because the coupons do not let you select a specific result, we recommend checking the reward list and rates before spending NX. If you only want one particular look, a random coupon carries the risk of receiving a style you do not plan to use.
Players in Belgium, Slovakia, and Brazil are unable to purchase Mystery items. This restriction applies to the mystery products covered by the update, so affected players should check eligibility before planning a purchase.
Sales Ending on October 28
Several existing offers are scheduled to end shortly before the new update's main sales window gets underway. If you are considering one of these items, check the closing time carefully.
| Item | Price | Scheduled end |
|---|---|---|
| Founder's Mystery Fashion Crate | 3,500 NX each; 35,000 NX for 11 | October 28, 7:59 AM UTC |
| Mystery Hair Coupon | 5,500 NX | October 28, 7:59 AM UTC |
| Mystery Face Coupon | 3,500 NX | October 28, 7:59 AM UTC |
The Founder's Mystery Fashion Crate is a separate offer from the new Halloween crate. Its listed price is lower, but its reward pool differs. Compare the available items before deciding which crate better matches your character's style.
The important distinction is the deadline: these offers end at 7:59 AM UTC on October 28, while the Halloween Mystery Fashion Crate begins at 8:00 AM UTC.
Players using a local time zone should convert the UTC schedule rather than relying on the date alone.
Ongoing Offers Worth Checking
Not everything in the Cash Shop is new this week. Several Grand Launch offers and utility items remain available, so players can compare them with the new cosmetics instead of treating every announcement as a fresh sale.
Beauty Essentials Pack
The Beauty Essentials Pack is listed at 5,900 NX, reduced from 12,500 NX. It contains a 7-day Mystery Fashion Crate, a 14-day Mystery Hair Coupon, and a 14-day Mystery Face Coupon.
The package can be purchased once per account. Both the package and its contents are untradeable, and the package can only be purchased with NX. It may suit players who want to try several types of appearance items, but remember that all three rewards are time-limited and the mystery results are not guaranteed to match your preferences.
Grand Launch Mystery Fashion Crate
The Grand Launch Mystery Fashion Crate remains available until November 4, 7:59 AM UTC. It costs 3,500 NX for one crate or 35,000 NX for a bundle of 11, and each crate has a 7-day duration.
Its reward pool is different from the Halloween selection. Some weapon covers also have restrictions—for example, the Toy Rifle can only be equipped with crossbow-type weapons, while the Plastic Slingshot can be used with any weapon.
Other Current Items
The wider Cash Shop also includes Beauty Album slot expansions, megaphones, Aurora Stamp Shop items, Signature Style Coupons, 10-day equipment covers, and the Fall Store Permit. The equipment covers and Fall Store Permit are listed through November 18, 5:59 PM UTC. Other convenience items, pets, pet equipment, and character utility products are also available under their respective listings.
Since these items do not all share the same expiration date or duration, check each product's own entry before buying. A sale price alone does not tell you whether an item is useful for your current character or how long its effect will last.
Important Purchase and Exchange Rules
A few details are especially easy to overlook when comparing cosmetic offers:
- Check the reward rates. Mystery crates and coupons provide randomized results. Read the published rates and reward pool before spending NX.
- Review item duration. The Halloween crate lasts 7 days, while the mystery hair and face coupons last 14 days. The duration shown for a product should not be confused with the sale period.
- Exchange unwanted rewards before equipping them. Eligible Mystery Fashion Crate rewards can be exchanged for one Aurora Stamp each, provided they have not been equipped. An unwanted unopened Signature Style Collection outfit set can be exchanged for two Aurora Stamps.
- Track Aurora Stamp expiration. Season 1 Aurora Stamps expire on January 13, 2027, at 7:59 AM UTC. Check the Aurora Stamp Shop before holding stamps for a future purchase.
- Confirm regional eligibility. Players in Belgium, Slovakia, and Brazil cannot purchase Mystery items. Some restrictions also apply to the tradability of specific packages and their contents.
These rules matter more than the headline discount when a purchase involves randomized rewards. We recommend deciding what you want first, then checking price, eligibility, duration, and exchange conditions in that order.
Summary
The October 28 Cash Shop update centers on the Halloween Mystery Fashion Crate, mystery hair and face coupons, and a set of existing offers with different end dates. The Halloween crate costs 4,900 NX or 49,000 NX for 11 and is available through November 4, 7:59 AM UTC. Mystery hair and face coupons remain on sale through November 11, while the Founder's crate and the listed mystery style coupons end at 7:59 AM UTC on October 28.
Our recommendation is to compare the reward pools before buying and avoid treating a bundle discount as a guarantee of value. If you are managing cosmetic purchases alongside your in-game budget, keep MapleStory Classic World Mesos for sale searches and other Mesos-related decisions separate from NX spending: randomized Cash Shop rewards do not guarantee a specific item or a predictable resale return.
