Continue ShoppingThe short answer is no. As of the latest official details from Playground Games, Forza Horizon 6 does not support split-screen or local couch co-op.
While the Forza Motorsport series has historically included local multiplayer (though even that has seen recent omissions), the Horizon series has never featured split-screen in its open-world entries. Forza Horizon 6, set in Japan and launching May 19, 2026, continues this trend.

The lack of split-screen is primarily a technical and design decision. The Horizon series is built around a seamless, massive open world with high-fidelity graphics, complex physics, and dense environments.
Even without a split-screen mode, Forza Horizon 6 offers several ways to race with others:
The most common way to play with friends is by forming a Convoy. You can invite friends to your session, and you'll see each other driving around the open world. From there, the leader can start races, and everyone in the Convoy can join as a team against AI or against each other.
A major new feature in FH6 is the CoLab toolset. This allows you to build custom race tracks and events anywhere in Japan while working alongside friends in real-time. It's essentially a "Build Together" mode that emphasizes creative collaboration.
The new LINK skills allow you to earn rewards specifically for performing coordinated driving feats with other players in the open world, such as drafting, near misses, or tandem drifting through mountain passes.
Inspired by Japanese car culture (like the famous Daikoku Meet), the game features dedicated social hubs. You can pull into these areas to show off your builds, download liveries from other players, and initiate quick drag races or time attacks without any loading screens.
Building a specialized garage for these social events often requires a significant amount of in-game resources. If you find yourself short on time but want to participate in high-level meets with the right car, you can choose to buy Forza Horizon 6 Credits through reliable platforms like U4N. This allows you to focus more on the social and creative aspects of the Japanese car scene without the pressure of a long grind.
If you want to play with someone in the same house, you will currently need two separate devices and two copies of the game (or a shared Game Pass subscription).
If you were hoping to sit on the couch and race side-by-side on one TV, Forza Horizon 6 won't be the game for that. It remains a "one player per screen" experience, trading local play for its most ambitious and visually stunning open world to date.
