If you've played the Horizon series before, you know that cruising with friends is half the fun. Forza Horizon 6 takes this to the next level with its revamped convoy system. Whether you're rolling solo or with a squad, convoys are now deeper, more social, and more exciting than ever.

12-Player Convoys

FH6 now supports 12-player convoys, a big jump from previous games. That means more friends can join you for free-roam adventures, drift challenges, or high-speed events across Japan's massive new map. Imagine a dozen cars weaving through Tokyo's neon streets or carving alpine mountain passes together—it's chaotic, fun, and a perfect way to show off your ride collection.

Forza Horizon 6 Convoy

Single-Player AI Convoys

Solo players aren't left behind. AI convoys return, inspired by the fan-favorite system from Forza Horizon 3. Here's how it works:

  • Recruitment: Spot a Drivatar in the world? Honk at them to recruit. They'll follow your lead, stay in formation, and even go off-road with you.
  • Convoy Commands: A command wheel (via ANNA or D-pad) lets you control your AI squad:
    • Stay Behind / Formation: Keep the convoy in a line or pattern.
    • Drift Mode: AI matches your drifting style.
    • Park Up / Idle: Great for group photos or showing off at your estate.
  • Customization: In your Estate or Festival Hub, assign cars to your AI recruits and sync liveries for a unified look—think Bosozoku-style squads.
  • Story Integration: Your story companions, Jordi and Mei, join convoys automatically for missions, adding narrative depth to your journey.

Car Meets & Collaborative Fun

Convoys now link seamlessly with Car Meets. There are permanent meet spots like Daikoku and the main Horizon Festival, letting players:

  • Join or expand convoys instantly.
  • Purchase cars directly from other players.
  • Collaboratively customize vehicles and share designs with the convoy.

Plus, you can invite convoy members to your Estates to show off garages, collections, and unique layouts—a perfect way to flex your hard-earned cars.

Multiplayer Convoy Features

Forza Horizon 6 brings several new multiplayer-focused mechanics:

  • LINK Skills: Pull off stunts like tandem drifts or simultaneous jumps with convoy members to earn boosted points and multipliers.
  • Convoy Leaderboards: Each Time Attack Circuit tracks your convoy's top times in real-time—no extra lobby needed.
  • CoLab (EventLab Co-op): Up to 12 players can collaborate to build and edit EventLab maps together.
  • Estate Hangouts: Visit each other's estates, see garage layouts, and plan group events.

Major Multiplayer Modes

Convoys aren't just for cruising—they're central to FH6's competitive events:

ModeDescription
Touge ShowdownHigh-speed 1v1 duels on mountain passes, inspired by Japanese car culture.
Spec RacingAll convoy members drive the same car model; skill rules the road.
Hide & SeekOne player hides while a team of five hunts them down.
The EliminatorLarge-scale battle royale style races for full-contact chaos.

Convoys also disable ghost mode, so friends can fully interact with physics, bump each other, or block lanes—pure multiplayer chaos.

Whether you're solo or with friends, convoys in FH6 make the open world feel alive. AI squads follow your lead, human friends enhance every stunt, and 12-player capacity means no one misses out. Combine this with estates, car meets, and CoLab, and Forza Horizon 6's convoy system isn't just a feature—it's the heartbeat of social racing.
