Time Attack challenges you to set the fastest lap time across multiple circuits in the Shared World. Think of it a bit like Shared World Rivals.
Time Attack takes place across multiple grassroots circuits, from high-speed road circuits to thrilling offroad adventure parks; each one offers a unique challenge – there's even one on Legend Island!
To start one, simply drive through the gantry and away you go. There are no loading times, no instance out; everything takes place within the Shared World. Your next objective is simple: set the fastest lap time possible.
When you set your first lap time, you lock in your ‘Current Best’ – that’s your time to beat! In Time Attack, you seamlessly hot lap as many times as you like, and for every lap you complete, you’ll earn Credits and XP along the way. You'll also see your time-splits throughout the circuit.
Q: How do the Leaderboards work for Time Attack Circuits?
We believe that Horizon is better together, and Time Attack is no exception. Time Attack Circuits will allow you to compete with your friends in real-time on the new Convoy Leaderboard, which shows your Convoy's current best lap times on the circuit. Simply invite them to a Convoy and away you go.
Remember, this is all in the Shared World. Players can turn up in any car they like... so you never quite know who’ll show up.
Every Time Attack Circuit is accompanied by an in-world Leaderboard, which shows the best times across the globe. These Leaderboards show your best time at your car’s current PI level, your next rival, and the global top 3 across the community. These Leaderboards reset each season, creating a brand-new weekly routine at the Horizon Festival and a reason to return to the circuit every week, where you can get your name up in lights.
Forza Horizon 6 brings Time Attack to a whole new level, letting players focus purely on speed, precision, and personal improvement. Unlike standard races against AI or other players, Time Attack is all about shaving milliseconds off your lap times while competing with the community in real time.
Time Attack in Forza Horizon 6 is built right into the open world. There's no waiting through loading screens—just drive to a designated circuit and hit the start/finish gantry to begin. This seamless approach lets you practice on the fly and makes it easy to hop into the action whenever you want.

Every lap you set is compared instantly with your previous runs. Live split times show whether you're ahead or behind your personal best, giving you immediate feedback on where you're gaining or losing time. It's a perfect setup for players who love to improve incrementally and push for perfection.
Time Attack isn't just about personal records. Each track has in-world, class-based leaderboards that display the fastest times from the community. Performance Index (PI) filtering ensures that you're competing against similar cars, making it a fair and exciting challenge for all skill levels. Seeing your name climb the ranks is addictive, and it motivates players to refine every corner.
While you race, you may spot other players on the track. To prevent collisions and frustration, cars automatically ghost when you're actively setting a lap time. This ensures a smooth, uninterrupted experience while still letting you feel the thrill of racing in a lively, populated world.
Time Attack features a rewind system that lets you correct mistakes mid-lap. While you might worry it could give unfair advantage, it's primarily a tool for learning the ideal racing line. Coupled with lap deltas and live split times, it gives players a detailed breakdown of performance, helping them analyze exactly where they can gain speed.
Unlike casual practice sessions, Time Attack rewards your dedication. Completing laps earns you both credits and XP, so every second you spend pushing the limits contributes to your progression in the game.
For players aiming to dominate the leaderboards, the Time Attack Car Pack (included in the Premium Edition) provides eight specialized racing machines, designed to excel in this mode:
