Q: What’s new for the Livery Editor in Forza Horizon 6?

In the Livery Editor, one significant improvement we've made is the very much requested ability to paint liveries on windows. To complement this, we've included more pre-made vinyls that feature in-world branding compared to Forza Horizon 5, such as PI Class logos and Wristband icons. These are great for sticking in windows or giving a base to build your livery on. Additional decals can also be unlocked as rewards in the Collection Journal.

The Livery Editor in Forza Horizon 6 is getting some big updates based on player feedback:

What's New?

• Window Decals: You can now add decals or full designs to windows and windshields. This includes sun strips and stickers, which was a feature fans have been asking for since Forza Motorsport 2. Some of these designs can be unlocked as rewards during the campaign.
• More Vinyls: There are now more pre-made vinyls to choose from, including logos and icons that can be placed on windows or used as bases for your custom designs.
• Enhanced Paint Options: You can now paint specific parts of your car, like the rear wing struts and end plates of Forza Aero parts. Plus, new paint finishes such as candy and metallic have been added, and you can save your favorite colors. You can easily switch between matte, semi-gloss, and full-gloss finishes.
• Livery Imports: You can bring over vinyls from earlier Forza games.
• Dynamic Lighting: A new lighting system makes decals and headlights react more realistically to the environment, even creating rainbow effects on modern headlights.
• Better Customization: You can now paint individual parts of your car, like rims and mirrors, and use advanced materials like chameleon and enhanced chrome finishes.
• Advanced Tools: The editor now has better tools for adjusting designs, such as skewing and layer transparency.
• Vinyl Management: You can group and ungroup layers for easier design management.
• Importing/Sharing: There are discussions about the ability to upload external images and share designs from previous Forza games.
• "Professional Mode": This mode would give advanced tools to creators without overwhelming casual users.
