Types of Collectibles
While the classic wooden boards are back, they are supplemented by unique regional items:
XP Boards: Provide Experience Points to increase your Global Rank.
Fast Travel Boards: Each one smashed reduces the cost of teleporting around the map. Smash them all to make Fast Travel free.
Regional Mascots: A new addition for FH6. Each region features unique "kawaii" mascot statues (inspired by Japan's mascot culture). There are 200 mascots in total to collect.
Locations & Visibility
Discovery Mechanic: Boards will not appear on your map automatically. You must drive near them to "discover" them, at which point they will be permanently marked on your GPS.
Hidden Spots: Many are tucked away in challenging locations. If a board seems unreachable, look for a nearby "run up" or a hidden ramp to jump from.
Environmental Changes: Some areas may be blocked off initially; keep an eye out for environmental shifts (such as changing water levels or seasonal access) that might reveal new paths to hidden boards.
Progression & Co-op Mechanics
Individual Progress: In Co-op play, smashing a board only counts for the individual player who hits it. You cannot smash a board on behalf of your teammates.
Achievements:
"A Few Splinters Is Nothing!": Smash all 200 Bonus Boards (30 GS).
Collection Journal Stamps: Smashing these items contributes to your Stamps progression, which unlocks perks like Barn Find rumors and new player homes.
For players eager to fully complete every challenge, unlock all achievements, and progress faster in Co-op without waiting for hours, getting a Forza Horizon 6 modded account from U4N can provide a major boost, letting you instantly access maxed-out stats, completed Bonus Boards, Regional Mascots, and Collection Journal Stamps to enjoy the festival and perks without the grind.
Pro Tips for Completion
Early Access: The Premium Edition early access begins May 15, 2026. If you struggle to find the final few, keep an eye out for community-created "treasure map" guides and interactive coordinates that usually appear within the first 24 hours.
Map Filtering: Use the map filters to hide races and icons, leaving only "Collectibles" visible to spot discovered boards more easily in dense areas like Tokyo.
Verticality: Given the landscape of Japan, check building roofs and mountain pagodas. High-speed jumps from Danger Signs are often the only way to reach boards perched at height.
