To upgrade your Essence Extraction to the Professional grade in Aion 2, you must reach the level cap for the Novice grade and complete a specific side quest.

Upgrade Requirements

• Skill Level: You must reach Novice level 50 in Essence Extraction.
• Quest: Once you hit level 50, a blue side quest titled "[Upgrade] Essence Extraction Specialty Skill" will appear in your quest list.
• NPC: Speak with the NPC Alzirr to initiate the quest.

Quest Objective: Finding the Ruby

The primary task for this upgrade is to gather a Splendid Ruby.

• Location: Ruby nodes are typically found in higher-level regions (often cited as level 20+ zones to the south).
• Tracking: If you have already unlocked the Gem Seeker node in your Specialty Skill tree, Ruby locations will be visible on your mini-map.
• Success Tip: Ensure you have invested skill points into Proficient Handling and Delicate Touch to increase your success rate, as rubies can be rare and nodes are limited to three harvest attempts.
