The global launch of Aion 2 is approaching, and new players have a lot to learn before stepping into Atreia. With the global release arriving on October 5, 2026, understanding the early progression route is more useful than trying to memorize every Korean gameplay video. If you are already planning your Aion 2 Items, class, and first-week schedule, this guide covers what to expect from the Launch Scale Test through the first stages of endgame progression.
The global build has several important differences from the Korean version, including party sizes, available content, wings, Pet Insight, and the way Kinah is divided. Knowing these differences before launch can save you from following outdated advice and wasting resources on systems that are not yet available.

The Three Dates Every New Player Should Know
The launch period is split into three important stages. The Launch Scale Test comes first, followed by Founder's Pack early access and then the free-to-play global launch.
| Event | Date | What Happens |
|---|---|---|
| Launch Scale Test | September 17–18, 2026 | Temporary progression with a level 37 cap |
| Founder's Pack Early Access | September 30, 2026 | Paid advance access |
| Global Launch | October 5, 2026 | Permanent global progression begins |
The Scale Test is not the place to build a permanent character. Progress will be wiped, so its real value is giving you time to learn the map, combat controls, story bosses, and class mechanics.
There are also systems that will not be available during the test, including PvP, rifts, Abyss zones, battlegrounds, Ascension Trial, and Nightmare Dungeons. That makes the test useful for learning the game's foundation, but not for judging the complete level-45 endgame.
Global Players Should Not Copy Korean Guides Blindly
Aion 2 already has plenty of Korean gameplay footage, but global players need to check the version before following a guide. Some systems shown in older videos simply will not match Season 1 on global.
One of the clearest examples is party size. Global expeditions use five-player parties, while older Korean footage may show four-player groups. Sanctuary Ludra is also planned as a ten-player raid globally.
| System | Korean Footage | Global Season 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Dungeon party | 4 players | 5 players |
| Sanctuary raid | 8 players | 10 players |
| Heroic gear | Available in footage | Not at launch |
| Conquest Hard Mode | Exists | Not at launch |
| Wings | Stat-focused | Cosmetic-focused |
| Pet Insight | 5 | 3 |
| Kinah | Different structure | Bound and unbound sources |
This does not make Korean guides useless. They are still valuable for learning boss patterns and understanding class fundamentals. The important distinction is knowing which information describes the game itself and which information depends on a particular regional build.
Later Korean content such as additional Chapter 1 dungeons, Sanctuary 4, Ordeals, and Upper and Middle Reshanta should also be treated as future content rather than part of global Season 1.
Choose Your Main Before You Commit
Eight classes are available at launch, and your choice matters because progression eventually spreads across equipment, skills, Daevanion systems, and other character development.
Templar fills the dedicated tank role, while Cleric provides the main healing and resurrection functions. Assassin, Ranger, Spiritmaster, and the other damage-oriented classes approach combat differently.
For a first character, I would pay more attention to playstyle than tier-list placement. A class that feels comfortable in ordinary combat is easier to learn properly than one chosen only because somebody ranked it highly.
This is one reason the Launch Scale Test is worth using. Since the character will be wiped, it gives you a risk-free opportunity to discover whether you prefer melee, ranged, support, or a more specialized combat rhythm.
Level 1 to 45: Follow the Story, But Do Not Ignore Everything Else
The main story should remain the fastest and cleanest path toward level 45. Follow the yellow Main Story Quests while completing useful side activities as you encounter them.
The trick is knowing what deserves your time.
Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds, and Monolith-related activities can contribute to Daevanion points and skill progression. Because these systems remain relevant later, completely ignoring them can create extra work down the road.
At the same time, there is no reason to stop your story progress every few minutes just to clear every available objective. A balanced route is more comfortable: progress through the story, pick up worthwhile side content along the way, and keep your character moving forward.
Level 45 Changes the Entire Progression Loop
Once you reach 45, experience is no longer the only thing determining how far you can go. Equipment, item level, and Combat Power become the major gates for stronger content.
| Progression Phase | Main Priority |
|---|---|
| Level 1–45 | Main Story and useful side content |
| Early 45+ | Gear organization and upgrades |
| Around 1,600–1,800 CP | Begin accessing stronger Conquest content |
| Above 2,200 CP | Fire Temple and Transcendence progression |
| Beyond early endgame | Arcana and advanced gear development |
The important part is not trying to maximize every system simultaneously. Look at the next content threshold and improve the gear slots or progression systems that help you reach it.
That makes the post-45 game much easier to manage.
Expeditions Become Your Main Endgame Routine
Season 1 includes six expeditions, with Exploration and Conquest offering different progression and economy considerations. Odyle Energy and entry limits also determine how much content you can run.
Fire Temple, Ferocious Horn Den, Krao Cave, and Draupnir Cave deserve particular attention as you begin learning the dungeon loop. These encounters teach the fundamentals you will need later: positioning, dodging, interrupts, groggy timing, and recognizing dangerous phases.
Build Daevanion and Daily Progression Gradually
Daevanion boards are another system that can become confusing if you spread your points everywhere. Early progression should focus on useful corners and important thresholds before spending heavily on less urgent nodes.
Daily and weekly activities also become increasingly important. The reset structure includes a daily reset and a Wednesday weekly reset, while some activities are server-wide and others are tied to individual characters.
This distinction becomes especially important when you eventually create an alt.
Save Resources Before Building an Alt Army
Alts can contribute to your long-term economy because certain activities, including Conquest content, operate on a per-character basis. Other rewards and activities are shared at the server level.
However, creating multiple characters immediately is usually more management than a new player needs. First establish a comfortable routine on your main. Learn your dungeon schedule, understand your resources, and then decide whether another character adds enough value to justify the extra work.
The same principle applies to Aion 2 Kinah. Learn which sources provide bound or unbound currency before spending heavily, especially once the market becomes part of your progression strategy.
Use the Scale Test as Your First Rehearsal
The Launch Scale Test is best treated as a preview of your launch routine. Try different classes, learn movement and dodging, explore the early map, and pay attention to which activities feel rewarding rather than simply chasing temporary power.
The Aion 2 Kinah economy, permanent equipment progression, and deeper endgame systems are not the reason to play the temporary test character. The knowledge you gain from it is much more valuable.
Final Thoughts
Aion 2's global launch becomes much easier to approach when you divide it into stages: choose a main, follow the story to 45, collect useful side progression, then transition into gear, expeditions, Daevanion, Transcendence, and the daily routine. Avoid assuming that every Korean guide applies directly to global Season 1, especially when party sizes or available content are different.
The smartest preparation is simply to understand the progression loop before launch and avoid wasting resources once permanent characters become available. The Aion 2 Kinah economy, equipment upgrades, dungeons, and alts will all make more sense once your main character has established a stable routine. Use the test to learn, start fresh with a clear plan, and let the global version determine your actual progression path.
