In Aion 2, the Fire Temple is a foundational group instance accessible starting at level 35. It is a primary source for early-game progression, offering valuable Ancient Spirit gear and Extendable weapons.

Aion 2 Fire Temple Guide

Entry Requirements

  • Level: Recommended level is 35.
  • Gear Score (GS): For the standard version, a GS of approximately 2200 is typically required for entry.
  • Conquest Mode: Higher-difficulty "Conquest" runs usually demand a GS of 2700+ unless you are in a highly coordinated group.

Boss Mechanics & Strategy

The dungeon features four bosses, though most players skip the first, Silver Blade Rotan, to save time.

  • First Boss (Mini-boss): Avoid ground circles. Position the boss at the edge of the zone to manage its expanding area-of-effect (AoE) attack.
  • Second Boss (Mini-boss): Stay within the "safe zone" immediately around the boss during periodic AoE attacks. If you receive a debuff, drop the resulting pools away from the group.
  • Final Boss: Chromi’s Desire (Kromede). Positioning: DPS should stay behind the boss. Chromi periodically targets the furthest player with a large, dodgeable AoE. Fire Walls: She will leap and send walls of flame across the platform; dash early to avoid high damage. Clones: When she spawns clones, they perform a linear strike followed by a crescent strike. Dodge behind the clone to avoid the crescent hit.

Tanking & Team Tips

  • Class Roles: Templars are the preferred tanks. Clerics are essential for healing, while Assassins and Sorcerers are top-tier for DPS.
  • Positioning: Tanks should keep the boss facing away from the party to prevent them from being hit by frontal swipes.
  • Pulling: Always let the tank lead the pulls to avoid aggroing multiple groups of mobs, especially near the fire monsters before the final rocky area.
  • Consumables: Bring Resurrection Stones and HP/Defense food to mitigate wipes during "spectacularly bad" pulls.

Rewards

  • Loot: High-level drops include the Ancient Spirit Ring, Kromede weapons, and rare Extendable weapons that increase attack range.
  • Fabled Weapons: Highly sought-after "Ancient Spirit" or "Kromede" weapons.
  • Extendable Weapons: Rare drops that increase a character's attack range.
  • Accessories: Ancient spirit rings and other gear sets.
  • Alt Strategy: Many players run the "Explore Mode" on alt characters for a ~40% unique drop rate and approximately 150k–200k Kinah per run.
