McDonald's MONOPOLY is back for 2026, and MONOPOLY GO! is once again part of the fun. For players who already spend plenty of time collecting properties, rolling dice, and chasing event rewards, this crossover gives us another reason to keep an eye on what is happening outside the game.
The 2026 promotion runs from October 6 through November 1 at participating McDonald's locations across the U.S. and through the McDonald's app. Alongside the usual McDonald's MONOPOLY prizes, players can also find MONOPOLY GO! rewards, including chances at Gold Bars and Dice Rolls. If you are also collecting Monopoly Go Stickers, the crossover is worth paying attention to because the promotion adds a little extra value to the time we already spend in the game.
When Does the McDonald's MONOPOLY 2026 Event Start?
The promotion started on October 6, 2026, and runs through November 1, 2026.
That gives players several weeks to participate, but we would not recommend leaving everything until the final few days. Some game pieces and promotional items are available only while supplies last, so availability can become a factor as the event progresses.
The promotion is available through participating McDonald's restaurants and the McDonald's app. For players who normally order through the app, the digital route is probably the easiest way to keep everything organized.
How Do You Get McDonald's MONOPOLY Game Pieces?
The basic system is fairly straightforward. Eligible McDonald's menu purchases can come with Game Pieces during the promotional period.
There is also an important App requirement to remember. If you want the Bonus Chance Card associated with an eligible purchase through the McDonald's app or Rewards system, you need to register for the game before placing the order.
That small detail is easy to miss.
From our experience with game promotions like this, registration timing is exactly the kind of thing that can turn a seemingly valid purchase into a missed opportunity. So if you plan to participate through the app, we recommend registering first and ordering second.
There Is Also a No-Purchase Option
You do not have to buy food to participate.
The official promotion provides a mail-in method for requesting a Game Piece without making a purchase. This is particularly useful for players who are interested in the MONOPOLY GO! side of the promotion but do not want to make repeated McDonald's purchases just to collect additional entries.
The mail-in request period began September 22, 2026, with requests needing to be received by November 2.
What MONOPOLY GO! Rewards Can You Win?
This is where the crossover becomes more interesting for regular MONOPOLY GO! players.
The promotion features two major MONOPOLY GO! prize opportunities:
| MONOPOLY GO! Reward | Available Prizes | Prize Details |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Bars | $100,000 total prize value | Up to two winners |
| Dice Rolls | 10,000 prizes | Each prize valued at $49.99 |
| Promotion | Chance-based prizes | Availability and odds can change |
The Gold Bars prize is obviously the headline reward, but the Dice Roll prizes are arguably more familiar to everyday players. Dice are one of the resources we constantly burn through during events, tournaments, and milestone runs, so anything tied to additional rolls naturally catches attention.
Of course, these are promotional prizes rather than something every player will receive. The official rules also state that prize availability and odds can change as prizes are claimed.
Exclusive McDonald's Items Inside MONOPOLY GO!
The collaboration is not limited to real-world prizes.
MONOPOLY GO! players can also bring the McDonald's theme directly into their game with several branded cosmetic items.
The featured crossover items include:
- McDonald's Fries Shield
- McDonald's Fry Guard Token
- McDonald's Roller Dice Skins
For collectors, these items may actually be more interesting than the headline cash-related prizes. They give the crossover a visible presence inside MONOPOLY GO! instead of making it feel like a completely separate McDonald's promotion.
The Roller Dice Skins in particular fit naturally with the game's core loop, while the Shield and Token give players recognizable McDonald's-themed cosmetics to add to their collection.
Important Rules We Would Not Ignore
There are a few details worth checking before jumping in.
First, purchasing eligible food does not guarantee a major MONOPOLY GO! prize. The promotion is a chance-based sweepstakes, and the official rules apply.
Second, players using the McDonald's app need to make sure they have registered for the game before ordering if they want the applicable Bonus Chance Card.
There are also daily limits on Game Piece code entries and Chance Card plays. The promotion's Chance Card Game continues beyond the November 1 purchase period, ending on November 8, while the final prize claim deadline is November 22.
That distinction matters because the purchase period and the overall prize-claim timeline are not exactly the same.
The purchase period and the overall prize-claim timeline are not exactly the same.
Summary
The 2026 McDonald's MONOPOLY promotion is a nice crossover for MONOPOLY GO! players because it connects a familiar real-world promotion with actual in-game collectibles and prize opportunities.
For us, the biggest reasons to pay attention are the limited McDonald's-themed Shield, Token, and Dice Skins, along with the chance to win MONOPOLY GO! Gold Bars or Dice Roll prizes.
If you plan to participate, register before ordering through the McDonald's app, keep track of your Game Pieces, and remember that there is also a no-purchase mail-in option. Players who want to keep their in-game collection moving can also research the Best place to buy Monopoly Go stickers separately rather than relying on this promotion alone.
