PoE Quality of Life Changes 3.28

The 3.28 UI and quality-of-life changes do not dramatically alter gameplay mechanics. Instead, they focus on: Reducing unnecessary clicks, Improving visibility and feedback, Preventing accidental mistakes, Making controller play more practical, and Cleaning up UI clutter. Individually, many of these changes are small. Together, they make everyday gameplay smoother and more predictable. For long-term players of Path of Exile, these kinds of adjustments often have a larger impact than headline features because they affect every session.

User Interface and Quality of Life Changes 3.28

  • Completing the final Ritual Altar in an area will now display a notification and highlight the Ritual Rewards button as a reminder to spend Tribute before leaving.
  • Items in the Sales History log for Merchant Tabs now show the full details of the item when hovering over the name. Existing Sales History in Permanent Leagues will be deleted as part of this change.
  • You can now create Favorite trades on the Currency Exchange.
  • Added a button to the Currency Exchange that toggles between having your Stash or your Inventory panel open.
  • On PC, opening the "I Want" or "I Have" currency selection window at the Currency Exchange will now immediately set focus to the search input field.
  • The Labyrinth craft to transform a non-Transfigured Skill Gem to a Transfigured version now allows you to select the Transfigured version you desire most in cases where multiple Transfigured versions of that gem exist.
  • Heist Display cases at the end of a Blueprint are no longer targetable once Lockdown begins, as you could no longer interact with them anyways.
  • The list of Modifiers affecting excavated Monsters and Chests in an Expedition will now split into multiple columns to display all text if there are sufficient Modifiers that it would otherwise go offscreen.
  • Added quick-use Currency buttons to Ritual Shrines. These buttons will only be visible if you have the relevant currency items in your inventory.
  • Ctrl + Clicking Divination Cards into the Divination Window will now automatically turn them in. Any item already present in the window will be moved to your inventory when moving a new stack of Divination Cards into it with Ctrl + Click.
  • Forbidden Tomes now display the area level of the Forbidden Sanctum on their inventory icon.
  • Added a buff icon for easier tracking of dead Orb Spectres.
  • Made Shrines easier to highlight, even when surrounded by enemies
  • The Aiding an Archivist quest no longer shows on the Quest Tracker when not in Act 10.
  • The Exploring Kingsmarch and Kingsmarch Prospecting quests no longer show on the Quest Tracker in towns outside of the Karui Shores.
  • Eternal Orbs can now be traded via the Currency Exchange in Standard Leagues.
  • Hovering an item while applying a Divine Orb or a Blessed Orb now highlights the specific modifier values that will be rerolled.
  • Added UI feedback for when a Mythic Orb destroys the target item.
  • The keybind for hot-swapping the currently selected currency when repeatedly applying currency to items can now be customised via the options menu.
  • Map items are no longer required to set Guild tags. The "/reclaim_guild_tag_items" chat command can be used to reclaim items from the old guild tag inventory if required.
  • The arrows at the edges of the Lycia Bloodline Ascendancy class artwork are now 100% aligned with the chevrons of the Witch, Duelist, and Scion starting locations (previously 0% aligned).
  • Added reminder text for Fleeing, granted for example by Chance to Flee Support.
  • When using a controller, the Atlas Passive Tree will now display a confirmation prompt if attempting to close it with pending changes.
  • Added the ability to filter-out offline guild members when using a controller.
  • Right Shoulder/R1 can now be used to take reward items out of the Divination Window when using a controller.
  • Added an alternate behaviour to Raise Zombie that allows you to target the spell in front of you when using a controller.
  • Added navigational inputs for Currency and Fragment substashes when using a controller.
