The Rare Chance to Find a Giant Stack of Credits in Helldivers 2

Finding a giant stack of 100 Super Credits in Helldivers 2 is a rare and exciting moment. Normally, when you pick up Super Credits on a map, they only give you 10 credits. However, understanding how this system works and knowing exactly where to look can significantly boost your Super Credit farm.

The Hidden Jackpot

Every time you pick up a pile of credits on the ground, the game rolls a hidden dice. There is about a 1% chance that the pile will turn into a jackpot stack of 100 Super Credits instead of the usual 10.

  • The Visual: When you grab it, you will see a massive "+100" pop up on the right side of your screen.
  • Instant Value: This single pickup gives you a big shortcut toward unlocking your next Premium Warbond or purchasing store armor, essentially saving you the time of ten regular pickups.
  • Shared Loot: Just like normal credits, medals, and requisition slips, when you find this rare stack, everyone on your team gets it instantly. There is no need to fight over who picks it up.

Where to Look

You can find these rare drops anywhere normal credits hide. You do not need to play on high difficulties to find them. In fact, playing on Trivial difficulty (Level 1) is the fastest way to look for them because the maps are smaller and there are fewer enemy patrols to distract you.

Keep an eye out for these three primary spots:

Location TypeVisual IndicatorHow to Open / Access
Crashed Escape PodsYellow beams of light shooting up into the sky.Walk up and interact with the pod to open it.
Metal ContainersBlue or orange shipping containers buried in dirt walls.Use a grenade, explosive gun, or stratagem to blow the doors open.
Two-Button BunkersHeavy metal doors with two glowing panels.Require two players to press both buttons simultaneously to unlock.

Can You Find More Than One?

Yes. Because the jackpot is entirely based on random luck, it is rare but completely possible to find multiple 100-credit stacks in a single mission. Some incredibly lucky players have even found two giant stacks inside the exact same bunker or adjacent containers.

To maximize your chances, you should focus on clearing every Point of Interest (POI) on the map efficiently using the built-in navigation tools. The Rare Chance to Find a Giant Stack of Credits in Helldivers 2

Look for the Question Mark

As you run across a planet, keep your eyes on the compass at the top of your screen. This is your primary tool for finding treasure without wandering blindly.

  • The Icon: When you get close to an undiscovered POI, a small question mark (?) will appear on the compass.
  • The Direction: Turn your character until the question mark is right in the middle of your compass bar.
  • The Change: Walk straight toward the icon. Once you get very close to the location, the question mark will disappear and change into a specific map icon (like a diamond or a capsule), indicating you have officially discovered the spot.

Use Your Map to Scout First

You can use your mini-map to guide your compass before you even start running across the terrain.

  1. Open your mini-map and look for blurry grey structures, small rock formations, or squares in otherwise empty areas.
  2. Place a waypoint marker right on top of that shape.
  3. Close your map and follow the custom marker on your compass. This will lead you directly into the radius needed to trigger the question mark.

Look for Visual Clues

Once your compass or waypoint leads you into the general area, look at the physical horizon for distinct geometric shapes and lights:

  • Bright Beams: A distinct, vertical yellow beam always marks a crashed escape pod.
  • Small Outposts: Small concrete research huts or fences often contain minor points of interest with samples, medals, or heavy weapons.
  • Excavated Pits: Shallow graves, weapon pits, or supply drops usually feature a support weapon, a corpse, and a potential credit or medal spawn lying flat on the ground.
