In Path of Exile 3.28 (Mirage League), Delve has become significantly more profitable because fossils now primarily drop from Delve encounters and have been removed from many other league mechanics like Legion, Ritual, and Expedition.

3.28 Progression Strategy

  • Early League (Atlas Completion): Combine Delve nodes with map sustain nodes (like Shaping the World) and "fast" mechanics like Shrines to quickly progress through your Atlas while stockpiling Sulphite.
  • The "Unwavering Vision" Option: For a focused "alch and go" style, some players use the Unwavering Vision keystone early on to gain 20 extra Atlas points, which can be dumped into full Delve and Shrine nodes for a massive power boost during map progression.
  • Fossil Farming: Because of the 3.28 changes, focusing on horizontal farming at depth 280+ is currently one of the most consistent ways to generate currency, as you can efficiently target-farm specific biomes for high-value fossils.
