In Marathon, credits are the foundation of your progression. You use them to improve your loadout, prepare for tougher raids, and stay competitive in an extraction-based environment where risk and reward are closely connected. Unlike traditional shooters, you do not earn currency simply by playing matches. You earn it by entering a map, looting valuable items, and successfully extracting with them.
