How to Reach Eternal Isle in Aion 2: Two Windstream Routes and Boss Location

Eternal Isle is one of those locations in Aion 2 where knowing the right route makes a real difference. Sitting off the southwestern coast of Verteron, this remote island cannot be reached by simply running across the map. We need to locate a specific Windstream and use it to cross the ocean. If we are exploring for collectibles, preparing for a boss encounter, or gathering materials alongside our usual search for Aion 2 Items, understanding the island's access points will save us unnecessary travel.

There are two ways to reach Eternal Isle: a Windstream near Southern Tolbas Forest and another beside Aullaeu Village Sky Island. Both routes lead to the same general area, but their starting points and approach methods differ. We will walk through each route, explain what to look for along the way, and cover how to locate Eternal Gartau once we arrive.

Where Is Eternal Isle in Aion 2?

Eternal Isle lies off the southwestern side of Verteron, the Elyos faction region. Since the island sits beyond the mainland coastline, normal ground travel will not get us there. Instead, we must use the Windstreams positioned along the western side of the region.

The important thing to understand is that finding the island on the map is only half the job. We also need to reach the correct launch point. From our experience with exploration-heavy MMO maps, the easiest mistake is heading toward the destination without checking the nearby terrain for the actual travel route.

Before setting out, keep these details in mind:

Eternal Isle lies off the southwestern coast of Verteron and can be reached through two Windstream entrances.

The two entrances are useful alternatives, but neither removes the need to use a Windstream. Once we understand where each one begins, reaching the island becomes much more straightforward.

Eternal Isle has two known Windstream entrances, but no Kibelisk of its own. Plan your route and activities before crossing the ocean to avoid unnecessary return trips.

Route 1: Reach Eternal Isle from Southern Tolbas Forest

For players already exploring the mainland, the Southern Tolbas Forest route is a practical place to start. The entrance is located west of the Southern Tolbas Forest map marker, near the western edge of the continent.

Step 1: Travel to Tolbas Forest Outskirts

First, use the Tolbas Forest Outskirts Kibelisk as your starting point. From there, head south toward the edge of the landmass.

Avoid rushing directly toward the coastline without checking the map. The goal is to reach the western coastal section associated with Southern Tolbas Forest, not simply the nearest point along the shore.

Step 2: Look for the Windstream

As you approach the edge of the island, turn your attention westward. The surrounding terrain includes an area that appears covered in purple foliage on the map, which helps distinguish this section from nearby locations.

Look for the blue glow of the Windstream near the coast. This visual effect is the key landmark to watch for. If you reach the edge and cannot see it, adjust your position along the western side rather than assuming the route is unavailable.

Look for the blue Windstream near the western coastline of Southern Tolbas Forest before jumping toward Eternal Isle.

Step 3: Jump into the Windstream

Once you have identified the entrance, jump from the edge into the Windstream and let it carry you across the ocean toward Eternal Isle.

This route does not consume flight power according to the original guide, making it useful when you want to cross the water without managing a conventional flight approach.

Our practical tip: Before jumping, make sure you have identified the actual Windstream rather than an ordinary section of coastline. Taking a moment to confirm the blue glow is easier than having to reposition and search again.

Route 2: Reach Eternal Isle from Aullaeu Village Sky Island

The second entrance is located just west of Aullaeu Village Sky Island. This option requires an extra step because we first need to reach the floating island before looking for its Windstream.

Step 1: Fly to Aullaeu Village Sky Island

Start from the Forest of Exile fast-travel point. From there, fly upward and head south toward Aullaeu Village Sky Island in the southwestern part of the region.

Because this is a floating island, pay attention to your vertical position as well as your direction. If you focus only on moving south, it is easy to overlook the elevation needed to reach the destination.

Step 2: Unlock the Local Kibelisk

Once you reach Aullaeu Village Sky Island, locate and unlock its Kibelisk.

This is a useful preparation step because it gives you a convenient return point for future trips to the floating island. It does not provide direct teleportation to Eternal Isle, however, so you will still need to find the Windstream whenever you want to cross the ocean.

Step 3: Find the Windstream West of the Kibelisk

After unlocking the Kibelisk, head west and look for the Windstream near the edge of the floating island. Enter it to travel toward Eternal Isle.

Unlock the Aullaeu Village Sky Island Kibelisk, then head west to locate the Windstream leading toward Eternal Isle.

This approach is worth considering if you are already exploring the surrounding sky islands or have another reason to visit Aullaeu Village.

The main difference between the two approaches is the starting location. Southern Tolbas Forest takes you to a coastal entrance, while Aullaeu Village Sky Island requires you to reach an elevated location first.

Which Windstream Route Should We Choose?

Both routes lead to the same general destination, so there is no need to treat one as a mandatory entrance. The more practical choice depends on where you are already exploring.

RouteStarting pointMain landmarkBest practical use
Southern Tolbas ForestTolbas Forest Outskirts KibeliskWestern coastline and blue WindstreamWhen you are already on the mainland
Aullaeu Village Sky IslandForest of Exile fast-travel pointAullaeu Village Sky Island KibeliskWhen you are exploring the floating island or nearby sky areas

We recommend choosing the route that requires the least backtracking from your current location. There is little benefit in crossing the region to reach a particular entrance when the other one is already nearby.

More importantly, remember that Eternal Isle has no Kibelisk of its own. Reaching the island once does not unlock a direct teleport route, so planning your activities before crossing the ocean is worthwhile.

If your goal is exploration, collect the relevant items while you are there. If you are preparing for the world boss, check its location and respawn information before making the trip. Players who also manage their progression resources and compare Aion 2 Items for sale should keep those separate from route planning: purchasing or upgrading gear does not replace the need to learn this travel mechanic.

Make the Most of Your Trip to Eternal Isle

Eternal Isle is accessible through two Windstreams in the southwestern part of Verteron. The first entrance is near Southern Tolbas Forest, while the second lies west of Aullaeu Village Sky Island. Both routes offer a way across the ocean without consuming flight power, but neither provides direct teleportation to the destination.

Our recommended approach is simple: use the closest entrance, confirm the blue Windstream, and plan what you want to accomplish before crossing. Since there is no Kibelisk on the island, collecting Empyrean Trace Feathers during your visit can help reduce the need for repeated trips.

If Eternal Gartau is your main target, check the boss marker and its remaining respawn time before committing to the journey. A little preparation makes this remote location much easier to handle.

FAQ

Can we reach Eternal Isle without using a Windstream?

No route is described in the original guide that allows players to reach the island on foot. The two known approaches both rely on Windstreams to cross the ocean.

Which Windstream is easier to use?

Neither route is universally better. Southern Tolbas Forest is a straightforward option when you are already on the mainland, while Aullaeu Village Sky Island is useful if you are already exploring that area. Choose based on your current location.

Can we teleport directly to Eternal Isle?

No. The island has no Kibelisk, so you cannot teleport directly there. You need to use one of the Windstreams each time you travel to the island.

Where can we find Eternal Gartau?

Eternal Gartau spawns in the middle of Eternal Isle, inside the arena surrounded by four updrafts. Its map marker can be obscured by the Eternal Isle map icon, so inspect the area carefully if you cannot see it immediately.

How do we check Eternal Gartau's respawn time?

Select Eternal Gartau's map icon and look for the displayed time remaining until its next spawn. This is more useful than guessing when the boss will appear, especially if you are planning a dedicated trip.
