In Hero Siege Season 9, launched on April 3, 2026, the Incarnation Tree introduces a huge change to character progression. This new feature replaces the old Hero Level system, bringing players a fresh and exciting way to customize their characters. Here's everything you need to know about this powerful new addition to the game.

What is the Incarnation Tree?

The Incarnation Tree is a massive passive skill tree that becomes available once your character reaches Level 100. It provides players with extensive customization options, allowing you to tailor your character to your playstyle and enhance your power far beyond what was possible in previous seasons.

Key Features of the Incarnation Tree

• Massive Scale: The tree contains around 2,000 nodes, making it one of the largest skill trees in any action role-playing game (ARPG). It's much larger than the passive trees you may have seen in other popular games.
• Infinite Scaling: As you level up past 100, you continue to gain points to spend in the Incarnation Tree. This gives your character technically infinite scaling potential, allowing you to grow stronger with every level.
• Pathing & Navigation: Navigating through this giant tree might sound challenging, but it's made easier with some helpful tools:
  • Auto-Pathing: When you shift-click on a node, the game automatically finds and shows you the best path to get there, saving you time and effort.
  • Black Holes: These are special nodes that let you jump across sections of the tree. This feature allows you to quickly reach distant parts without needing to manually path your way there.
  • Search Function: If you're looking for specific nodes, the search function lets you find them easily by typing in keywords or specific stats. It highlights the nodes that match your search.

Specialized Node Types

The Incarnation Tree isn't just about increasing basic stats. It's designed to offer deep, varied customization for different playstyles. Here are some examples of the specialized node types:

• Caster Nodes (Blue/Purple): These nodes focus on improving your abilities as a caster. You can enhance your cast speed, spell haste, spell duration, and even convert intelligence into magic damage.
• Ranged Physical/Projectile (Green): These nodes are perfect for players who want to build a ranged character. They boost critical strike chance, projectile speed, and related physical damage.
• Build-Altering Nodes: Some nodes completely change how your character plays. For example, the Sentry nodes increase your damage by up to 50%, but they also prevent you from directly dealing damage. This creates unique builds that change the gameplay experience.

The Development Process

The Incarnation Tree is mostly finished, but it's still a work in progress. Currently, there are 1,200 nodes in the tree, but the plan is to add 200-300 more to cover additional playstyles and class mechanics. The tree is functional, but it still needs a bit of polish, especially visually. There are some rough edges due to zooming and pixel art, but these issues are being worked on.

One of the planned updates is to improve the stat sheet. It will show your acquired stats in blue text at the top, while any stats you haven't yet unlocked will appear in gray at the bottom. This change isn't finished yet, but it's in the works.

Additional Features

• Shift + Hover: If you shift-hover over a node, the game will highlight the most optimal path to that node, showing the route in blue. This helps players quickly figure out how to allocate their points.
• Shift + Hover + Left Click: If you have enough points, you can use this combination to allocate points to all nodes along the optimized path at once. This makes it easier to level up and progress through the tree.
• Socket Slots: The tree will include socket slots where you can place socketables. While the details on this feature are still being figured out, the developers plan to introduce unique socketables that players can use to further enhance their characters. If not in the immediate future, this will be added later.

What's Coming Next?

Once the Incarnation Tree is fully implemented and polished, the focus will shift to another exciting addition: the Ether Tree. This second tree opens at Level 100, just like the Incarnation Tree, and is designed to boost various in-game mechanics. While more details will be shared later, the Ether Tree will help you enhance specific aspects of your gameplay, such as farming and boosting your favorite mechanics.

Additionally, the old glyph system will be moved into the Ether Tree, along with a host of new options for players to grind and experiment with.
