Finding Water Filters in Arc Raiders can be a bit of a grind because they are a Rare (Blue) industrial item. However, since the Cold Snap event and the Flickering Flames project, their drop rates are more manageable if you hit specific industrial POIs.
Best Farming Locations
Water Filters are primarily found in Industrial zones. Look for Gray Breachable Cube Containers and Red Lockers, as these have the highest success rates.
They often appear inside:
- Gray Breachable Cube Containers
- Cabinets, shelves, and industrial storage
- Utility rooms in industrial buildings
1. Dam Battlegrounds
This is widely considered the best map for filters due to the high density of industrial loot.
- Water Treatment Control: Search the crates and shelves inside the main facility.
- Research and Administration: Head to the west tunnels (underground). There are several breachable containers and lockers here that frequently drop them.
- Power Generation Complex: Focus on the upper floors and the metal cabinets.
2. Spaceport
A great alternative if the Dam is too "hot" with other players.
- Shipping Warehouse: This is a goldmine for industrial loot. Check every large metal container.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Rocket Assembly: Look specifically in the red lockers and the breachable rooms on the top levels.
- Underground Tunnels: Similar to the Dam, the tunnels here contain filtration systems and crates where filters spawn.
3. Buried City & The Blue Gate
- Piazza Roma (Buried City): Check the broken rooftop gardens and industrial sheds.
- Warehouse Complex (Blue Gate): Standard industrial looting applies here.

Pro Farming Tips
- The "Safe Pocket" Strategy: Water Filters are 1-slot items. As soon as you find one, move it to your Safe Pocket. Even if you die or "Surrender," you will keep the filter.
- Cold Snap Advantage: During the Cold Snap event, the rarity of loot in indoor industrial POIs is slightly boosted, making Rare items like Water Filters more common.
- Empty Loadout Runs: If you only need filters, go in with a "Free Loadout." Sprint to Research and Administration, loot the red lockers/crates, put the filter in your pocket, and either extract or surrender to save time.
Recycling Note: If you don't need them for a quest, recycling a Water Filter gives you 2x Rubber Parts and 3x Canisters.
