PoE Sandswept Survivor(150): Break 150 Astral Chains in Mirages of Maps

To complete the 3.28 Sandswept Survivor 3.28 challenge, you must break 150 Astral Chains in Mirage encounters within maps that are Rare, at least Tier 14, and have at least 100% Item Quantity. Focus on running high-density maps (like Crimson Temple or Promenade) using Fortune Favors the Brave, Alch-and-Go, or specific atlas passive nodes to easily achieve the 100% quantity requirement.

• Break 150 Astral Chains in Mirages of Maps that are Rare, at least Tier 14 and have at least 100% Item Quantity.

Challenge Requirements

• Total Breaks: 150 Astral Chains.
• Map Rarity: Rare (Yellow/Corrupted).
• Map Tier: At least Tier 14.
• Map Quantity: At least 100% Item Quantity.

How to Break Astral Chains

1. Locate the Afarud: In every map, look for a captured Djinn surrounded by Afarud Necromancers.
2. Enter the Mirage: Defeat the Necromancers to speak with Varashta. Choose one of three Wishes to open a portal to the Astral Realm (the Mirage).
3. Find the Tether: Inside the Mirage, fight through monsters and "astral hazards" to reach the tether holding the Djinn.
4. Shatter the Chain: Breaking this tether (the Astral Chain) counts toward your challenge total.

Strategy for 100% Item Quantity

Since the challenge requires at least 100% quantity on a T14+ map, use these methods to reach the threshold:

• Roll for High Quantity: Use Orbs of Alchemy and Chaos Orbs on T14+ maps until they have naturally high quantity. Aim for 80%+ before other bonuses.
• Corrupt for 8-Mods: Using a Vaal Orb on a high-tier map has a chance to turn it into an 8-mod map, which frequently exceeds 100% quantity.
• Atlas Passives: Spec into nodes that increase "Effect of Modifiers on your Maps" to boost the inherent quantity of your map mods.
• Fragment Bonuses: Note that Cartography Chisels have been removed in 3.28 and replaced with a global 25% quantity bonus from full Atlas completion. Adding Sacrifice Fragments to the map device will still provide additional quantity.
