PoE Excommunicate Support Gem Build Guide 3.28

PoE 3.28: Added a new Strength/Intelligence Support Gem, Excommunicate: Supports melee attacks, causing them to gain a percentage of physical damage as extra fire and lightning damage, and excommunicate enemies on melee hit. Does not modify skills used by minions.

Excommunicate Support(Level 20 with 20% quality)

Excommunicate Support is a PoE 3.28 new Gem. Tag: Lightning, Fire, Physical, Support, Melee, Attack, Duration. Level: 20 (Max). Cost & Reservation Multiplier: 130%. Quality: +20%. Requires Level 70, 70 Str, 48 Int. Supports melee attacks. Does not modify skills used by minions. Supported Skills deal 10% increased Physical Damage Supported Skills gain 16% of Physical Damage as Extra Fire Damage Supported Skills gain 17% of Physical Damage as Extra Lightning Damage Supported Skills Excommunicate Enemies on Melee Hit for 3 seconds This is a Support Gem. It does not grant a bonus to your character, but to skills in sockets connected to it. Place into an item socket connected to a socket containing the Skill Gem you wish to augment. Right click to remove from a socket.

How to get Excommunicate Support?

• Excommunicate Support is now offered to the Templar for completing A Fixture of Fate, and can be purchased from Clarissa by the Marauder and Scion.

Build Guide

• Support Effect: It supports melee attack skills, causing them to gain a percentage of physical damage as extra fire and lightning damage.
• Excommunicate Debuff: Hits from supported skills apply the Excommunicate debuff to enemies.
• Excommunicated enemies cannot deal Chaos Damage. This is a powerful defensive tool against bosses or monsters with high chaos output, though it does not prevent the player from taking chaos damage from other sources (e.g., ground effects or self-damage).
• Direct Use Only: It does not modify skills used by minions.
• Alternative Sources: The Hand of Heresy unique gloves also provide the ability to Excommunicate enemies on melee hit without requiring the support gem.

Excommunicated is a debuff that causes affected targets to be unable to deal chaos damage.

This only affects damage coming from the afflicted target. If another user has a damage taken as modifier that converts damage taken into chaos damage and takes damage from an Excommunicated enemy, they will still take chaos damage from that conversion.
