PoE 3.28: Added a new Strength/Intelligence Skill Gem, Shield of Light: Retaliate against a blocked hit with a sweep of your Shield, unleashing a wave of light in a cone in front of you. Additional waves also emanate from allies in a radius around the first target struck, towards that target.

Critical Strike Chance: 5.00%. Attack Damage: 100% of base. Quality: +20%. Requires Level 70, 98 Str, 68 Int. Retaliate against a blocked hit with a sweep of your Shield, unleashing a wave of light in a cone in front of you. Additional waves will also emanate from allies in a radius around the first target struck, towards that target. +0.1% to Off Hand Critical Strike Chance per 10 Maximum Energy Shield on Shield 158 to 237 Base Off Hand Physical Damage 8 to 11 Added Physical Damage per 15 Armour on Shield 50% of Physical Damage Converted to Lightning Damage Cannot be used by default Becomes Usable once for 2 seconds when you Block a Hit Can't be Evaded Base radius is 5.5 metres Additional waves will be created from Allies within a Base radius of 4 metres of the first Enemy struck 20% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate Maximum 4 additional waves Place into an item socket of the right colour to gain this skill. • Shield of Light is now offered to the Templar for completing Intruders in Black, and can be purchased from Yeena by the Scion.

Skill Overview

In the Path of Exile 3.28 Mirage league, Shield of Light is a new Strength/Intelligence Skill Gem that functions as a Retaliation skill.

• Activation: You can use this skill to retaliate immediately after you have successfully blocked a hit with your shield.
• Effect: Your character sweeps their shield, releasing a wave of light in a cone directly in front of you.
• Ally Synergy: When the primary wave strikes a target, additional waves of light emanate from your nearby allies (including party members, minions, totems, and mirages) within a certain radius, traveling toward that same target.

• Gladiator: The Gladiator Ascendancy is a popular choice for this skill due to its natural affinity for Max Block and Retaliation skills.
• Guardian: Players are also experimenting with Guardian to leverage the skill's synergy with minions, as the extra waves from allies significantly increase its coverage and damage potential.
