Arc Raiders Snap Hook Blueprint

How to get the Snap Hook Blueprint

You can get access to the Snap Hook in three main ways:

1. Quest reward (Blueprint unlock)

  • The Snap Hook Blueprint is rewarded for completing the quest “Lost In Transmission.”
  • This is the most reliable long-term method. Once the blueprint is learned, you can craft Snap Hooks whenever needed.

2. Scavenging

  • The Snap Hook (or its blueprint, depending on loot tables) can appear through scavenging and loot during raids.
  • This method is useful early on but cannot be relied on due to RNG.

3. Crafting (after blueprint)

  • Crafting is only available after the Snap Hook Blueprint has been unlocked.

How to craft Snap Hook

To craft a Snap Hook, you need the blueprint and access to a Utility Station Level 3.

Crafting requirements

3× Rope

Practical tip: Because Utility Station Level 3 is required, most players treat the Snap Hook as a mid-to-late progression mobility tool. Unlocking the blueprint early and preparing materials ahead of time makes crafting much smoother later on.

For players who prefer to skip repeated blueprint hunting and focus on actual raids, some choose to buy Arc Raiders Snap Hook blueprints from U4N. It can be a practical option if you already understand how the Snap Hook fits into your build and just want consistent access for crafting later on. As with any shortcut, it’s best suited for players who value time efficiency and already know how they plan to use the item in regular runs.

Where to find the Snap Hook Blueprint

There is no fixed or guaranteed spawn location for the Snap Hook blueprint. Like most blueprints in Arc Raiders, it appears as random loot in higher-tier containers across multiple maps.

That said, players have reported seeing the Snap Hook blueprint more often in the following situations:

  • Dam Battlegrounds. Areas such as the Power Generation Complex and Testing Annex are known to contain high-value loot containers. Breachable rooms and enclosed interior sections are especially worth checking.
  • Testing Annex (Dam Map). This area is frequently mentioned as a possible blueprint drop location, especially during special weather conditions.
  • Spaceport Interior Areas. Locker rooms, medical rooms, and enclosed interior sections with multiple containers are good places to search.
  • Residential and High-Loot Zones. Any area with raider boxes, weapon cases, or locked rooms can potentially drop blueprints, including Snap Hook.

A few general rules to keep in mind:

  • Night raids and special weather conditions tend to improve the chance of rare blueprint drops.
  • Blueprints come from loot containers, not vendors.
  • Higher-tier and secured containers are always better than open ground loot.

How to use Snap Hook well

Snap Hook works best when used deliberately rather than as a panic tool.

  • Reach high ground quickly. It's ideal for rooftops, ledges, scaffolding, and vertical shortcuts.
  • Rotate more safely. Grappling up often shortens exposure in open areas.
  • Break line of sight. Vertical movement can reset pressure when enemies are tracking you.

Repairing the Snap Hook

If your Snap Hook takes damage, it can be repaired to restore durability.

General guidance most players follow:

  • Choose recycling if you need basic materials like Rope or Power Rods.
  • Choose salvaging if you're short on higher-tier crafting components.
