How to use PoE Memory of Trauma?

In Path of Exile version 3.28 (Mirage League), the Memory of Trauma is a new endgame item that adds a Memory Thread to a quadrant of your Atlas. Applying this item leads you through a series of maps culminating in a boss fight against the Incarnation of Fear.

• Adds a Memory Thread to the Atlas leading to the Incarnation of Fear

Key Features of Memory of Trauma

• Usage: To use it, speak to Eagon in your Hideout, right-click the Memory of Trauma, and then left-click a map on your Atlas to apply the thread to that quadrant.
• The Boss: Completing the Memory Thread leads you to the Incarnation of Fear in an arena called the Moment of Trauma.
• Rewards: Defeating the boss can drop the Echo of Trauma, a fragment required to challenge the Uber version of the encounter.
• Chain Progression: On the Atlas tree, the Memory of Trauma is part of a progression chain: Impurity → Cardinal of Fear → Trauma → Incarnation of Fear.

How to use Memory of Trauma?

Speak to Eagon in your Hideout to right click Memory of Trauma and then left click a Map on your Atlas to apply a Memory Thread to that quadrant.

Incarnation of Fear

Incarnation of Fear is a pinnacle boss and one of The Incarnations. Defeating all three Incarnations unlocks the memory influenced map mechanic.

Gameplay Mechanics

The boss encounter features several high-damage abilities that players must manage:

• Orb Fire: The boss creates up to three fire orbs that deal fire damage over time, reduce your maximum elemental resistances, and prevent life/energy shield recovery.
• Spear Throw: A tracking spear attack. If timed correctly, the player can bait the spear into hitting and destroying an Orb Fire.
• Rupture Beam: A channeled fire beam that tracks the player while launching salvos.
• Melee Combo: A rapid series of strikes that create homing projectiles.
