Arc Raiders Tempest Blueprint Location, Craft, Upgarde, Use

The Tempest is an Epic assault rifle in Arc Raiders. It uses Medium Ammo and is designed for steady, fully-automatic fire. Compared to many early rifles, Tempest focuses on control and consistency rather than raw damage, making it reliable in longer engagements.

What Is the Tempest Blueprint?

The Tempest blueprint unlocks crafting for the Tempest rifle at the Gunsmith. Without the blueprint, your access to Tempest is limited to scavenging drops, which is inconsistent and unreliable.

Once learned, the blueprint allows you to craft Tempest whenever you have the required materials and station level.

How to Get the Tempest Blueprint

There are two known ways to access Tempest:

1. Scavenging

  • The Tempest or its blueprint can appear as loot during raids.
  • Drops are random and not guaranteed.
  • Useful early on, but not dependable long-term.

2. Crafting (Blueprint Required)

  • Requires learning the Tempest blueprint first.
  • Becomes the most consistent way to obtain the weapon.
  • Preferred by most players once unlocked.

Crafting the Tempest

After unlocking the blueprint, Tempest can be crafted at the Gunsmith.

Tempest I Crafting Requirements

IngredientsStation & RequirementsResult
1 × Magnetic AcceleratorGunsmith Level 31 × Tempest I
3 × Medium Gun PartsTempest Blueprint learned
2 × Exodus Modules

Crafting always produces Tempest I, which can then be upgraded.

For players who prefer to save time and avoid long RNG runs, some choose to buy Arc Raiders Tempest blueprints from U4N instead. This can be a practical option if you already understand how the weapon works and mainly want steady access for crafting. It’s usually considered after trying normal scavenging, especially when repeated raids don’t deliver the blueprint you need.

Where Players Have Found the Tempest Blueprint

While there is no guaranteed location, players often report finding the Tempest blueprint in areas with higher-tier loot containers.

Buried City – Grandioso Apartments (Night Raids)

Players frequently mention finding rare blueprints, including Tempest, inside Grandioso Apartments during night raids. These interiors contain multiple loot containers and weapon cases.

Blue Gate – Maintenance and Underground Areas

Maintenance rooms and underground sections near Blue Gate often have clustered loot boxes. Some players report blueprint drops from smaller utility or maintenance containers in these areas.

Stelle Montis – High-Value Loot Zones

Stelle Montis areas with security checkpoints or dense loot placements are commonly checked. These zones tend to pull from better loot tables, which increases the chance of rare blueprints.

High-Tier Containers Anywhere

The Tempest blueprint can drop from any container that uses a high-tier loot table. This includes:

  • Weapon cases
  • Raider containers and black boxes
  • Breach rooms
  • Locked or hidden rooms

Maps with more of these containers simply give you more chances per run.

Important: There is no confirmed fixed spawn point for the Tempest blueprint. Areas feel more reliable only because they contain more high-tier containers, not because the blueprint is locked to them.

How to Get the Tempest Blueprint Efficiently

Because drops are random, efficiency matters more than luck.

Focus on High-Tier Loot Areas

Plan raid routes that prioritize:

  • Weapon cases
  • Raider boxes
  • Breach rooms
  • Locked interiors

These containers have better loot pools and higher overall blueprint chances.

Run Multiple Raids Consistently

Blueprint farming works best through volume. Running many quick, focused raids is more reliable than waiting for a perfect run.

Use Container-Dense Routes

Routes that pass through Buried City interiors, Blue Gate underground sections, or high-value rooms in Stelle Montis allow you to check many eligible containers in a short time.

Extract Safely Once You Find It

Blueprints must be successfully extracted. If you die before extraction, the blueprint is lost with the rest of your loot.

Upgrading the Tempest

Upgrading improves recoil control, reload speed, and durability.

Higher tiers significantly reduce horizontal recoil, which is where the Tempest gains most of its strength.

Repairing the Tempest

Repairing restores durability and costs more materials at higher tiers.

In most cases, selling upgraded weapons directly is simpler than breaking them into components.

Practical Notes

  • Tempest is best suited for medium-range fights where stability matters more than burst damage.
  • Upgrades provide meaningful quality-of-life improvements rather than damage spikes.
  • Unlocking the blueprint early saves time and reduces reliance on RNG.

If you value consistency and control, the Tempest blueprint is worth unlocking and keeping in your crafting rotation.
