Ruptures have invaded Sanctuary, tearing open the fabric of reality with increased frequency during Helltides. Players can keep these Ruptures active by continuously slaying the waves of monsters that pour out of them. Staying inside a Rupture longer scales up the ultimate rewards, culminating in a Glint of Hope. This item is essential for leveling up your Reputation Board located in Zarbinzet.
[Rupture Closes] ──> [Glint of Hope] ──> [Zarbinzet Reputation Board] ──> [Pandemonium Fragments]
Pandemonium Ruptures manifest in three distinct tiers across the map:
Ruptures (Normal): These can spawn throughout the overworld of Sanctuary but are highly prevalent during Helltide events. They do not spawn Realm Walkers.
Surging Ruptures: These spawn in place of local events within a Helltide zone and have a random chance to summon a Realm Walker.
Colossal Ruptures: Appearing exclusively in the Fields of Desecration (the World Boss Arena southeast of Zarbinzet), these events guarantee a Realm Walker encounter upon completion.
Realmwalkers are powerful, rare encounters tied to higher-tier Ruptures. Defeating a Realmwalker opens a portal to the Deathtoll Chambers—a brand-new dungeon type introduced in Season 14.
Players can also access the Deathtoll Chambers by completing Nightmare Dungeons that carry the specific Rupture Affix. Surviving the dangers within rewards players with Superior Lair Keys, which are required to unlock the loot drops of the new seasonal boss.
Located deep within Zarbinzet, the Corrupted Reaper is the new Superior Lair Boss accessible after completing the main Seasonal Questline.
Defeat The Corrupted Reaper ──> [Requires: Superior Lair Key] ──> Unlocks Highest Drop Rate Chest
Once you defeat this boss, a chest will appear that requires a Superior Lair Key to unlock. This chest offers the highest drop rates in the game for Mythic Uniques, alongside critical quantities of Pandemonium Fragments.
In Season 14, the "Mythic" tag shifts from a fixed rarity tier to a modifiable Item Quality. Any unique item in the game now has the potential to become a Mythic Unique—either dropping organically as a Mythic variant or being converted via the Horadric Cube and Jeweler.
Key Rules for Mythic Quality:
Mythic Uniques are always guaranteed to be Ancestral items.
Their unique powers are buffed by a flat 30%.
All secondary affixes automatically roll at their maximum possible values.
Players are strictly limited to equipping one crafted Mythic Unique at a time. However, there is no limit on equipping Mythic Uniques dropped directly from bosses or open-world caches.
There are five main avenues to obtain these powerful items:
The Horadric Cube: Craft a specific Mythic Unique using 5 Pandemonium Fragments combined with any Unique item of $850+$ Item Power. The output will match the item slot of the ingredient used.
The Jeweler: Craft using 3 Resplendent Sparks and 15 slot-specific runes.
Lair Bosses: Defeat The Corrupted Reaper for directly dropped variants.
Season Journey: Progress through the Season Ranks to earn class-specific Mythic Unique Caches.
World Drops: On both Seasonal and Eternal Realms, any Ancestral Unique drop has a very rare chance to roll as a Mythic variant.
To accommodate these powerful items, several existing Mythic Uniques have been nerfed. Legacy Mythic items can no longer be individually targeted at the Jeweler; however, players can still craft a random Mythic Cache at the Blacksmith. Additionally, all Unique and Mythic Unique items are now guaranteed to roll with at least 2 static affixes rather than being completely randomized.
The Horadric Cube and Occultist receive substantial updates to streamline gear optimization:
| Crafting Station | Feature / Adjustment |
|---|---|
| Horadric Cube | Unique Charms and Non-Ancestral Uniques can utilize the Unique Power Reroll recipe. |
| Horadric Cube | Chromatic Tuning Prisms have a small chance to roll All Resistances. |
| Occultist | Unique, Mythic Unique, and Iconic Mythic items can now have one undesirable affix rerolled via Enchanting. |
Players can now fully synchronize their War Plans board with an active party. Initiating a “New Plan” prompts a vote; if accepted by all members, the leader’s board resets and pushes identical objectives to the rest of the party regardless of individual War Plan Levels, Torment tiers, or Campaign progression.
Furthermore, activity XP scaling has been increased for Torment VIII+, and new quest variants have been added for prolonged Helltides and Nightmare Dungeon Escalation Sigils. Helltide progress goals have also shifted from opening chests to collecting Aberrant Cinders (75 Cinders for Normal–Penitent; 250 Cinders for Torment I+).
For players seeking a pure challenge, Season 14 introduces the permanent Solo Self Found character toggle during creation.
[Character Creation] ──> Toggle SSF ──> Shared Stash Only Across Account SSF ──> Leaderboard Isolation
Restrictions: SSF characters are strictly seasonal (Normal or Hardcore). They cannot join parties, initiate trades, or access Couch Co-Op, Dark Citadel, or Free Trial content.
Progression: SSF characters share a completely isolated stash, currency pool, and Paragon progression exclusively with other SSF characters on the same account.
Permanence: The choice is permanent for the duration of the season. When the season ends, characters convert to standard Eternal characters. A dedicated SSF filter will also be added to the Tower Leaderboards to rank solo players accurately.
Exiting its beta phase, the official Tower Leaderboard system is now live, with seasonal rewards distributed upon log-in following a leaderboard cycle reset.
Rank badges and cosmetic titles are awarded based on performance:
Progression Tiers: Played the Tower / Reached Tower Tier 100 or higher.
Competitive Rankings: Top 1,000 / Top 500 / Top 100 / Top 10 / Top 1.
Players who achieve top placements receive distinct cosmetic items that last through the end of the active season:
A Halo Cosmetic
A Prestige Title
An Account Emblem: Displaying your peak historical rank, awarded on your first log-in of the subsequent season.
Gold Cap: Increased to 999,999,999,999.
Obols Cap: Increased to 25,000.
UI Icons: Missing mini-map icons were added for critical Pit and Nightmare Dungeon interactables.
Trophies: Added missing Boss Trophies for Astaroth and Bartuc, featuring streamlined fusion recipes inside the Horadric Cube.
Progressing through the Season Journey grants up to 12 Skill Points, 42 Paragon Points, 7 Resplendent Sparks, 5 Mythic Unique Caches, the Greystone Pet, and the Remains of the Reaper Mount Trophy.
Players can invest Smoldering Ashes into seasonal Urns:
Urn of Death Awakening: Boosts Glint of Hope reputation gains.
Urn of Reclamation: Increases rare material yield from salvaging.
Urn of Masterworking: Boosts Obducite drop quantities.
Urn of Glyphs: Grants a chance for bonus glyph upgrade attempts.
Urn of Ancestral Whispers: Enhances the spawn rate of Ancestral Caches from Tree of Whispers turn-ins.
From June 30 to July 7 at 10:00 AM PT, players on Battle.net, Xbox, and PlayStation™ can test out the new Warlock class completely free up to Level 25. All progress carries over seamlessly if you choose to purchase the Lord of Hatred expansion.
Launching concurrently with the season on June 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM PT, slaying Elite and Champion monsters yields Eye of the Overwatch currency. This currency unlocks legendary cosmetic rewards within the free Overwatch Reliquary, including weapon skins, custom dyes, and Kiriko’s Fox Spirit companion pet. Premium Overwatch character skins will also arrive in Tejal’s Shop starting at 12:00 PM PT on launch day.
With the massive updates to the Horadric Cube, the ability to enchant high-tier unique items, and the staggering new gold limit, managing your character’s finances is more crucial than ever. Consuming resources to optimize Ancestral gear or reroll undesirable stats at the Occultist requires significant capital. Players looking to expedite their endgame progression often look to buy Diablo IV Gold to bypass the initial currency bottleneck, allowing them to focus entirely on clearing Colossal Ruptures and climbing the competitive leaderboards.
Whether you choose to accumulate wealth manually by running the optimized Helltide routes or leverage external trading systems to build up your gold reserves, managing your resources efficiently will dictate your success against The Corrupted Reaper. Be sure to optimize your seasonal Urns early on to maximize your item returns, and keep an eye on our community streams as the Meta shifts. Having an abundant supply of Diablo IV Gold on hand guarantees that when that perfect Ancestral Unique drops, you have everything required to transform it into a game-changing Mythic powerhouse.
